I have recently purchased this little gem and love it. I am a noob to mods. This car is my daily so I dont want to get to crazy with it but would love to beef it up some. My buddy has a 2018 modded and suggested a few mods. I have purchased but not installed yet, JB4 tuner with HKS plugs, Injen intakes, and BOV's. I think im good with just doing these mods and leaving it at that. I dont expect to push her too hard except when someone nudges me. LOL what is everyones opinion on these mods and any suggestions or traps that I should prepare for

thanks

Get the fuel and EWG wires for the JB4.

Exhaust maybe? MBRP is the go to.

thanks for the heads up. I will look into the EWG wires. as for the exhaust, I like the sound of louder exhausts but dont want to advertise so I was thinking im ok with stock unless there are some options that are not as obnoxious

again thanks for your time

I am keeping my powertrain bone stock. The only traps I would worry about (with those commonly shared mods) are speed traps. :P

Sway bars for sure. I run the Eibachs with Whiteline endlinks, I believe they are the superior Sways available. Being able to stay comfortably planted while I power slide through some corners is so choice. ATQ subframe collars are worthwhile also. The only other suspension modification I am looking at is the Mando module. The factory suspension is probably it's biggest drawback outside of TCU & ECU nannies.

Thanks, Im still learning but im guessing since mine is AWD I dont need to look at doing sway bars?

What makes you say that?

I was asking. is sway bars for rear wheel drive. I dont know what the sway bars do and since mine is AWD, does that make a difference
Oh, I see. Benefits from improved sway bars are applicable across the whole line-up, RWD and AWD will both equally benefit from Sway bars. Sway bars will assist in keeping a vehicle from experiencing excessive body-roll/lean, essentially keeping your vehicle planted more flat through turns.

Makes since. Thanks I will look into that

You got it. Definitely recommended. You could always sell the factory parts to recoup some costs, if you plan on riding until the wheels fall off, that is.

Fuel wires for sure, but Terry at BMS said himself that unless you have more open downpipes like HFC or catless, the EWG wires won't do anything for you.
Not sure if that's exactly accurate anymore due to the fact that 21 & 22 Stingers are apparently prone to overboost.

I guess it might help on those if OB is a problem. Seems hit or miss. Some have the problem, some don't. Kia should really fix that. Not everyone wants to do that kind of mod.
I wish someone official in the know could tell if Kia really changed anything for the '21 and later that might explain why it happens.

Agreed. As far as we know the only thing changed for the 22 is the exhaust and this apparent additional 3 hp from wherever.
