I would greatly appreciate thoughts and advice on this deal. Ceramic Silver GT2 AWD

MSRP- $54,190
Selling price- $50,591
Rebates 7400
Cash Cap Reduction - 4155
Adj cap cost 40,311
Residual is 26,500 and MF .00186
DP- 5k

They have me at $585/month (includes 6% max tax) for 36/18. I could go $530/mo for 36/15 and pay overage. In your experience can I get a better deal?

Note - I am playing another dealer against this one...similar numbers for the GT2 AWD GT400 edition

Update - continue to work with a couple dealers on 2020 pricing for ceramic silver in New England (Not sure how to change my Canadian flag but I am born and raised in New England). One is a GT2 AWD and the other is GT2 AWD GT400 (which happens to be the only Stillen package I have seen listed anywhere). The GT2AWD was last quoted as drive away with $0 out the door, $699/month, 36/15 with $400 due at lease termination. This includes Mass Sales tax 6%. Total cost of lease $25,564 which is just about the same (I think a little less) than one of the prior quotes with $5k down. Aside from seeing the others numbers, since I do not intend to buy, I'm struggling a bit with the $699 and justify it as this will be my primary car as well as the fun aspect (so no need to purchase an other SRT8 to toy around with).

So, across the country, what are folks paying monthly for a 2020 GT2 AWD? Also, has anyone seen another GT400? It's unique though they do mark up like 4-5k for exhaust and CAI that run the average Joe rough $15000 or so to install on their own.

This "GT400" is a dealer add-on correct? I mean, it's not some factory spec model or anything like that right? I'm curious where they are getting their specs from. Are they trying to say that Intakes and exhaust boost the HP from 365 to 400 at the crank (how can this be proven) or are they claiming to the wheel (if so, ask for the dyno results)? No way I'd pay 5K for those two mods. My Intake was $330 (BMS) and exhaust was $910 (MBRP SS) + $125 for install.

The leases just aren’t a great deal for the 2020 Stingers. There isn’t a big enough rebate to make it worth it.

You could buy a GT2 AWD last year for about $640 a month for 75 months with zero percent interest. That is a better deal than leasing it especially if you drive a lot of miles.

Yes, it is a dealer add-on. I'm pretty sure I could lease the GT400 for maybe $10/mo more than the standard GT2AWD. But yeah, the parts are not worth the 4-5k they try to claim in sticker markup

Yeah, I'm def struggling with the cost of the lease. Originally, I was going to buy but honestly know if I will want the car in 3 years, resale is not great on the cars to anyone other than an enthusiasts. Sadly, even though many that have them love them and they have a great warranty, what I see in the used market is...it's just a Kia. So, here I am thinking about buying a 2013 SRT8 Jeep with 3 year unlimited mile powertrain warranty and lose maybe 15k in value over 3 years or lease GT2 AWD and walk away after dropping $25-26k and $500 more a year in insurance.

If you are worried about depreciation then honestly your best bet would be to buy a 2016 INFINITI Q50 SS. They are selling those for next to nothing now and with modifications that car can be extremely fast for $25k. Even if it is worth zero at the end of 3 years it will cost you the same money.

You have to pay to play. The Stinger is a much better car than the 2016 Q50 I had but the Stinger leases just aren’t anywhere near as good.

Last year the depreciation on the Stingers was actually really good. Some people were able to get out of their leases without losing any money. Then the resell value plummeted and now they depreciate similar to most other vehicles in this class.

I love my Stinger so much that I just don’t plan on getting rid of it. I pay $668 per month for my GT2 plus the full 10 year bumper to bumper warranty and zero interest. There are other deals that are better but it is what I could get at the time and I am satisfied with it.

The bottom line is that the Stinger is a great car but if you are worried about how much it is going to be worth in 3 years you might have to look at different vehicles. If you want the fastest, most useful, and still reasonably priced sport back sedan then buying a Stinger with a really low interest rate is not a bad idea.

With high MF and piss poor residual (probably 47%), the lease deals are going to be horrible, no matter how you look at it.

Funny thing is one of the cars I was considering leasing was just posted on you tube as a review and it now has 5k miles on it. That will come up in negotiating

Here are the current numbers for a 2020 model 36/12 in California. These are pretty bad numbers anyway you slice it.

GT1 AWD - .00180 and 51%; $5400 lease cash
GT2 AWD - .00181 and 49%; $6500 lease cash

Based on all the feedback and what I have read my best bet may be to lease and buy the lease early (depending on where the final numbers land). I really like the car and honestly the primary con is the service. I've read service with Kia sucks and my experience with two dealerships just getting numbers for cars sitting in their lots is ridiculous. I can't imagine if I have a problem and need actual service. That aside, I love the car even compared to the Genesis G70 3.3l, which is sort of it's sister sharing much.

As for the 2020 GT2 AWD Stillen I was getting numbers on....just saw it pop up on a you tibe review...seems to be the dealers flagship and they are putting the miles on it with 5k seen in the video
Still not sure how they claim CAI and exhaust gets them to 400hp unless the CAI really opens the spooling and unleashes more from the turbos, but still seems off

The lease buyout option is not as attractive with only a $5k-$6k rebate. If you can get zero percent financing then that saves you about $5k-$6k in financing charges over 3 or 4 years.

The lease buyout option is great when the rebates hit $9k or more.

Great point. If I recall last time I was talking purchase with them on the ‘stock’ GT2 awd they were at 46 but given the time I see this sitting on their lot, I feel they should take 42 lol.

One would think the pleasure rides they are taking in the stillen wouldhring then down to reality but last chat (when I thought it had 1500 miles) they were at 52. Cray

The 24 lease rebates are MUCH better than the 36 month numbers. It still might be worth doing a lease buyout on a 2020 with the 24 month numbers below. Current(March) 24 month then 36 month numbers below for each model.

GT1
.00185 MF and 56% residual. $7900 lease cash
.00185 MF and 51% residual. $6700

GT2
.00193 MF and 54% residual. $9500
.00185 MF and 49% residual. $7900

Huh strange. The lease cash was much better on the longer term for last year. Still was not what I wanted so I walked out, saved up and bought a salvage one. Was thinking that the stinger would be the one car out of 6 in our driveway that wasn't slavage but looks like we have 6 slavage cars now. Good luck with your lease numbers

Just got this number on the 20 GT2 awd stillen gt400. They really don’t want to move that thing....

Go down to Bald Hill Kia in Rhode Island; they seem to be moving a lot of Stingers at well below sticker.

I've been watching their site and they seem to move a lot of Stingers; I'm thinking of dealing with the hassle of out-of-state purchasing (I live in Maine) because they're often selling GT2s for $43K, although I wonder if it's tied to a predatory interest rate (I'd qualify for Kia's 0% financing so I'd say thanks but no thanks if that's the case).
