2019?

I'd bet the 2018 Stinger is also the 2019 Stinger. No changes. Next cosmetic change in 2020. My only hope is that they get rid of the FAKE vents on the hood. They really cheapen a GREAT car, and they look like shit!
Guess I'm in a minority, but the front hood vents look amazing to me. I honestly don't care if they don't do anything, it sure as hell doesn't cheapen the look. The car is supposed to be a sporty GT and it fits the look perfectly.

I grew up with fake hood vents. They don't bother me at all.

Yeah, I like the fake vents. And I loved the Iroc-Z when I was a kid (Still do).

My opinion on them has shifted. Although I still don't particularly like the fake vent aspect, I do like the stylistic contrast element they add to the hood. Maybe I'd be happier if they just had some aerodynamic edges to them, instead of the psuedo mesh, but I've pretty much moved on from my earlier concerns.

Do the Kia Stinger GT2 mirrors point down when you start the car or try to back up into a spot to help parallel park without destroying the rims? I wish it had the 360 camera this is insane but at least if the mirrors point down and out automatically it shouldn't be too bad.

Agree - don't like the fake aspect of it, but after looking at a photo-shop w/o the vents, the long hood looked a little plain/bare.

You can set the mirrors to automatically point down in reverse.
As for the 360 camera, I have it but don’t pay it much attention. Maybe that’s just because I’m old and comfortable using my mirrors...

We got it in Australia!
And in Canada, along with the wireless Charging and UVO. I can see the USA getting those for 2019, since the 2019 Limited Atlantica model has all of that.

It's been said before, but we Optima owners just don't want to give up some key things we enjoy now, like cooled seats, 360-degree camera, wireless phone charger, etc., etc. Kia should make the Stinger a clear upgrade path from the Optima, but by deleting features, it makes it fuzzy.

Believe it or not, Kia, not all of us want to generate huge clouds of tire smoke and drive sideways at 4 G's. True GT cars should be dripping with creature comforts, not just raw power. Grand touring means the ability to cover large distances in comfort and quickly.

I thought the Atlantica was nixed?

Correct.

Back to the no-vents, I suspect it may be an indication that a more powerful engine combination is in the works, where the airflow would be needed.

.. at least, that's what I choose to believe, because

Thanks for the info so as long since you can point the mirrors down not having the 360 degree camera isn't as bad for me. Parking in Boston is tough a fair number of parking spots require precision parking or you are going to have a ding or worse. I also park in public parking facilities where space is rather tight and there is little room between rows so a 360 view is extremely useful for those situations. I can live without the rear heated seats and the charging pad but visibility is rather critical for me. I am also getting old and blind so any visual assistance is helpful. Love the car though and I am in the process of making a deal may take a few weeks though as dealers are still hemming and hawing over 10% off the price but I am very close. Looking to get the black with red leather interior. The other thing Kia needs to add is the ability to control the height of the trunk release and make it so the hatch will not open if there is pressure against it.

That’s a someone’s photoshop, they did make a GT4 Stinger but, it’s a concept.
I was told by an inside source that works for Kia, that they’re working on a coupe version. So, not exactly sure what’s all going to change. What I'd like to see is their v8 as an option. They’ve already got 420hp naturally aspirated and I think they can push it further or offer v8 with single and maybe even twin turbos. Give me a v8 coupe with 600hp and I’d be happy.
