Hi all. I just traded my 2016 BMW M235i convertible for a 2019 Stinger GTS RWD. It’s as orange and orange can be. It only has 7000 miles. I chose the 2019 GTS over a blue 2022 Stinger GT1. The GTS was $5000 less than the GT1 and still had most of the warranty. The GT1 has loads of new technology, which was impressive. The GTS felt slightly quicker and responsive. I love the car! It put a smile on my face the minute I hit it in sport mode. It’s looks brand new. It doesn’t have a single scratch or blemish. I hope I made the right choice. I heard arguments for both cars at the dealership. I welcome your opinions.
I look forward to learning more about the Stinger on this forum.

Thanks,
CTWSR

Thanks! Sorry for the typo in the heading, “GRS.” It’s a GTS!

Looks like a stunning and beautiful car! Congrats! :D

How does it compare to your M235i convertible? They're such different cars to say the least!

Good question! Based on my limited experience with the Stinger, its straight line speed is slightly better than the M235i. The relatively light weight and small dimensions of the M235i with x-drive (AWD) allows you to be very aggressive in turns. It’s a lot of fun to drive. In sports mode, it feels like a track car! My wife has one which means I can still enjoy that experience. My son just got married. We needed a legit back seat and cargo space. After much research, the Stinger was THE car that checked all our boxes. I’m embarrassed to say I wasn’t aware of the Stinger! I sure am now! The more I read, the more impressed I became. I tested the Porsche Macan, Panamera, BMWs, Lexus, etc. before driving the Stinger. It was simply a matter of which one to choose after I drove it! The Stinger was by far the best car for the money.
Sorry for the lengthy response!

Fantastic response and great review! Don't apologize for a "length response" when you're giving good info that a ton of people wanna hear about! :)

Yeah I also never heard of the Stinger until I saw it being shown off at a press/journal event at a local super mall in south Florida. At the time I was looking to sell my WRX and replace it with either a JDM or GDM or domestic... I never even considered a Korean car... :D :p

Congrats and welcome!!
I also never heard of the stinger prior to my purchase. I saw it in an ad one day, left work and drove 60 miles to the dealership and drove it 60 miles back home same day I discovered it’s existence.

Team Orange! Welcome!

Thanks, to all. I drove the GTS about 75 miles today on the interstate. The wind noise above 60 mph was off the charts! Is sounded like I had a flag on each door. It drove well. The windows were up and tight. It’s been a calm weather day with little wind. That level of wind noise can’t be normal for a Stinger. I didn’t hear this kind of noise on the test drive. Any ideas? I plan on taking it back to the dealer tomorrow.

Thanks,

I just found what I needed in Forum posts from Oct. 2019. It looks like it might be weather stripping and/or door latch or door alignment.

I’m sure the Kia folks will fix it!

Sorry for the panicky post!

Lol, you were having too much fun playing with the acceleration, is my guess. :P I can't see door seals separating or whathaveyou in only two days (especially why now, after over 7K miles?).
