2019 Stinger GT2

I'm skeptical of places that list full MSRP, their discount then add in destination charges as if that isn't already in the original MSRP they listed. Is KIA now allowing you to stack the loyalty rebate and the competitive rebates? It's usually one or the other, not both. That discount is recouping @ $1k for the destination charge, and the taxes/tags breakdown is vague, what the state tax cost in your area?

Good point, thanks. I did check the window sticker and it did include $995 destination charge so they were changing twice for it. I'll confront them with that and see what happens. Delaware dosn't have a sale tax but they have, I believe) a 2.75% document fee on the difference after trades

Doesn't make sense to me that they're listing both the competitive and loyalty rebates - the first is for previous owners of other makes, while the second is for previous owners of Kias. To my knowledge they can't be combined. If it turns out they can (for instance, by owning one of each) please let us know.

The fine print says you can't.

Dealer discount = $6135? Not really. Subtract the "double" destination fee from that. Then subtract out the dealer processing fee. Then consider that in DE there is currently a 4.25% state "documentation fee" (what normal states call a tax, lol), which on just under $50K before rebates would be around $2100. Note that dealer estimates taxes/tags at $3235. In DE, registration, title, and tags are relatively inexpensive (less than $200 combined). So the dealer's estimate (which they will likely charge very close to) for taxes/tags is at least $1K more than the actual costs, the difference likely being for their "services". So perhaps a more accurate estimation of dealer discount from MSRP = 6135 - 990 - 699 - 1000 = $3,446. Good deal? Possibly. I don't really know what a 2019 model should be selling for right now.

They all include the financing, loyalty/competitive cash back and military rebates along with the dealer discount in the advertised price.

The competitive cash back is I think 2K on a 2019 or 3K on 2018 if you are trading one of these (the other eligible has to be 2012 or above).

I would appreciate your input but I think I might have found a decent deal. 2019 GT2 RWD, Ceramic Silver
MSRP $54435
After incentives which include financing thru KIA, which I would pay off the following month, $45549 + $895 Dest
$46494

MSRP of $54435 seems high should be around $51k When I bought my 2019 GT2 RWD White red interior (puddle lights and remote start) I walked in told them I wanted to pay 40k for the car, 4k for my 2006 Titan with 200110 miles, wanted 6% or less of financing for 5 years and would walk out if they couldn't do it. They came pretty close, I still left and took the pictures of the deal to other dealers who thought it was fake and couldn't do beat it. So I went back and bought the car. A week later the bank let me know they lowered by interest rate another point.

This all happened without them even having the car on the lot but they were sure they could get it and also said if they couldn't get the RWD they would do the AWD for the same price (I crossed my fingers on that but it didn't happen which is ok).

I added premium wheel protection and the extended warranty as I wanted to cover all the electronics. With everything added including tax and everythign, I was still under the MSRP price. Then I added the 4k for my trade in and another 4k down and I had the exact deal I wanted.

If they want to make the sale they will give you the deal you want as long as it's a reasonable offer.

I'm also in the market for a Ceramic Silver (red Interior) Gt2 RWD and so far have got them down to $46,500. Still shopping. I'm in South Florida btw.

I made a mistake. The car is AWD not RWD. With that being said is the price good or so-so

Aww that

Ahh ok that explains the MSRP difference. On the price of $46494 if that included your tax and extended warranty I would say yes but I would pus them to knock another $2k if it were me.

So if you are planning to pay off the following month, any particular reason you would not start off with a lease, take the lease cash of $8,500 on a 24 month lease, and then pay off the lease the following month? Your incentive to finance with them is what, $2,000? Seems you could save an additional $6,500 if you went with lease/buyout versus finance/buyout?

I'd be interested to know how your experience goes. I'm in the market soon and also in south FL.
Having kept an eye on the market for awhile, I'm probably going to drive to Tampa, Orlando, or north for a stinger. Palm Beach county dealers still have 18s listed at MSRP. There is a yellow one in key West for a good deal .

I got mine in Deland for a good price and got lifetime oil changes and powertrain warranty...

I'm toying with the same idea...but not sure I am willing to not get the color I want. I was thinking about getting one with the right interior color (red) and then wrapping it...but then I'm probably into another $3,000 to get that done, negating the extra savings on lease cash. Gotta look into that more.

I was playing around with an excel file to try to understand the likely total cost, including the 24 month lease incentives. I was kind of just plugging in assumed numbers on how low I might be able to negotiate (aggressively) the different options. Anyone have better insight into what the realistic numbers should look like? I was using the ceramic and red combo which adds a touch to the MSRP, and the 2018 MSRP's are not just plug numbers...not actual.

MSRP Negotiated Price 24 month lease cash Total before TTL
off MSRP
2019 GT2 AWD $53,890 $ 9,000 $ 44,890 $ 8,500 $ 36,390
2019 GT2 RWD $51,690 $ 8,500 $ 43,190 $ 7,800 $ 35,390
2019 GT1 AWD $48,495 $ 7,500 $ 40,995 $ 6,400 $ 34,595
2019 GT1 RWD $46,790 $ 7,000 $ 39,790 $ 6,000 $ 33,790

2018 GT2 AWD $51,000 $ 11,000 $ 40,000 $ 10,500 $ 29,500
2018 GT2 RWD $49,000 $ 10,000 $ 39,000 $ 9,500 $ 29,500

Sorry...looks like it did not accept the spacing I had in the embedded file

Yes you would those incentives are only at the dealer you bought at. I too have life time oil changes however go ask them how often that is. Manual states every 6000 miles or 12 months for oil/filter change for Normal Maintenance. That's what they are going to give you. Drive the car like it's meant to be driven and I feel personal opinion it should be changed more often and with better oil. Manual states under severe Usage 3000 miles or 6 months. Now what is considered normal vs sever it doesn't say. I asked my sales guy he things I'll get away with every 4000 miles. I may just pay for 3000 and have them do a free one at 6000 so pay for every other one but we will see how things go.

The only real way to know if to send the old oil out for analysis. From multiple forums over the years I've settled on 6k miles with synthetic. Typically it would seem synthetic is good for 10k+ miles. If I was doing a big track day with a lot of high RPMs I would change it before and after said day.
