Look in the Notifications tab then select the May 21 notice.....lots of pics there.thanks, I was hoping to see what the pics of the updates/change on the infotainment screen looked like.
I went into the old smart update manager (MN-SOFT) to update as per every other time only to find there’s no user option to login anymore it’s locked for dealer login only. Luckily I was scrolling through here and saw your post with the link to the Kia update site. In the process of downloading now so will see how it goesHave a look through the update site.

Same mate. I've also lost the school zones (I'm in Sydney). It's because it's saying the speed limit is 60kph rather than 40kph; hence no alert!Hi all
New owner of MY21 stinger GT here. I also recently completed the May software update on the new 10.25 screen and noticed that I have lost all school zone alerts which were previously working fine.
I have confirmed that school zone alerts are ticked in the settings screen (both day and night sections) with no luck. other alerts seem to be working ok. Currently waiting on a response from KIA.
I was wondering if anyone else had experienced the same issue since updating? I also updated my wife’s 2019 Cerato GT and it appears to be having the same issue.
Yep. I advised KIA of no school zones and no reduced speed limits and they confirmed that school zones currently only show up if a route is selected (I have confirmed this is the case). They stated this will be corrected “next update”. I can only assume the school speed limit issue (which still doesn’t reduce to 40km/he even if a route is selected) will also be fixed/reinstated as well at that point.Same mate. I updated mine early June and still have my school zones. I regularly run through 3 or 4 different ones a week.Same mate. I've also lost the school zones (I'm in Sydney). It's because it's saying the speed limit is 60kph rather than 40kph; hence no alert!
Interesting. Mine were working perfectly prior to the update (also early June).I updated mine early June and still have my school zones. I regularly run through 3 or 4 different ones a week.
Thanks mate. I'll put the route to work in tomorrow morning and see if that works.Yep. I also advised KIA that other zone alerts (eg wildlife alert etc) give spoken warnings regardless of whether navigation voice is muted or not. Previously these alerts would only beep if navigation voice was muted.
Interestingly, all the above issues are also occurring with my wife’s 2019 Cerato GT since completing the same update.
Haven’t been through a lot of camera areas since the update so haven’t tried to change the sound via the volume. Not sure what model year your stinger is but I believe the original single navigation mute option in the preMY21 builds has now been separated into a “voice” and a separate “sound effect” option in the map screen. I assume reducing the sound effect level there will reduce the camera notification level. Maybe that has impacted on the ability to reduce sound via volume knob? Just a guess.Plus one other thing that I don't like is that I can't turn the volume of the warnings down with the volume control while they are spoken. Previously if I was going through a place with a lot of cameras I could (temporarily) decrease the volume of her voice with the control on the steering wheel. Not any more. Are you finding that? Thanks.

I’m am so pissed off about loosing school zone warnings. I have noticed though when you are actually navigating to a set destination the school zones are back, but not when your are just cruising with no destination set- DOESN‘T change the fact I’m pissed off , hope Kia is going to make an immediate update to rectify this obvious shortcoming.Hi all

When I raised the issue with KIA last month they confirmed there was an problem and said it would be resolved “next update”. So I take it that won’t be until the next standard update in six months or so.hope Kia is going to make an immediate update to rectify this obvious shortcoming.
The Sat Nav is by far the worst feature in this car, I’m like you my wife’s 2017 Cerato Sat Nav is head & shoulders better than this abomination that they have in the Stinger, I’ve also relayed my complaint/opinion re this to my dealer as well.Well today KIA replaced my entire MY19 GT centre console sat nav and radio unit under warranty. Service was brilliant, there was an intermittent failure of the sound system where no audio except for navigation and alert prompts but no radio, no music USB or Bluetooth...
Anyways, I had to apply the May update as the unit was a later system version to the existing SD card... My god it's the most amateurish update I've ever seen, the purple menus are not only ugly, the number of features that have been effectively downgraded, made harder to use by adding the number of button presses, or just shit removed or not working altogether is astounding....
I don't think they could have made the system more ugly if they tried and some of the features like speed zones heads up just not working is just stunningly bad as far as I'm concerned... Seriously the Kia Rio I loaned had a better navigation system than the new May Update for the Stinger GT...
Naturally feed back has been forwarded to my Kia dealer and to head office... What the hell were KIA thinking?
