Hi there, new Stinger owner, been having an issue when filling up the gas tank. No matter how empty the car is, when putting gas, the trigger clicks off every 50 cents or so as if it’s full already? Never seen that before w/ my other cars. Keeps clicking off a bunch of times trying to get to filling the tank at 16 gals or so. Anyone else have this issue? Some kind of sensor problem maybe? Thanks

never heard of it on a kia, but my vette used to do this and it turned out to be the evap system. I don't think its the kia since it is so new, it might be that particular pump is really fast. does it happen at all gas stations or just one? there might be something has collapsed in the fuel filler neck area, but again, the car is too new for something like this to happen. please keep us posted.

I have owned my Sorento for 6 years, and this happened for the first time this week, at a station I had never used before.

then it could just be that their station pumps the fuel out too fast that it creates an air bubble on the way down. if it doesn't do it at any other station, then you are good.

In my case, it was noticeably slow. I was only there to get gas for my tractor, but the Sorento could use a few gallons so I filled it up as well.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Thanks for the reply... It has happened at 3 different stations, Wawa / Shell / Different Wawa... I tried putting it on the slowest auto fill, tripped as if full tank, put it on the fastest, same thing. Pulled nozzle back and pushed all the way in, same tripping as if full. A real pain... I called Kia and they said something about a sensor that could be bad, that Carmax should deal w/ it, if they can't then they said Kia would... IDK, just a real pain so far, otherwise I really like the "Sportback" Stinger... LOL

I've experienced this a rare few times; and I always blame it on the pump, and reposition the pump until it stops shutting off: only once, I finally gave up and moved to another pump.
