I want to say thank you for adding me to this group, I just bought a 2018 Stinger GT!! I wanted Homelink and bought a mirror from Ebay, I installed it and everything works except for the Homelink...UGH!!! I've gone through so many posts on this issue and I still haven't gotten a great answer, from what I've read it seems that the original mirror has different pin locations. I believe that I have to splice 10 and 6?

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your new Stinger! What did the Stinger replace for you? I’m glad you found us. :)

Also noting that I’ve moved this topic out of the community lounge and into the Stinger Technology forum…

I had a 2017 Kia Optima SXL, that was in mint condition! A lady ran a Stop sign and T-Boned me...I think it was a sign as I've always wanted a Stinger! LOL

If the autodim has power, so does the the homelink. If I remember from my upgrade, pins 10 and 6 only control whether it is on with ignition or on all the time. Is the new mirror from a Hyundai/Kia? Otherwise the pinouts are different and you will have to get an adapter or move the pins inside the mirror’s connector.

There is a 6+ page thread on the rearview mirror and upgrades. Search for the word Gentex, the manufacturer of the mirror, and it should pop up in the results.

What's the question?

VS the non homelink

I did see that thread and I decided to get the Gentex pigtail from Bob.
