Looking to get as close to $30k OTD in the NYC area, and very OK purchasing a CPO vehicle. I'm just beginning my research here into Stingers, so I'm curious what's considered "high mileage"? 37K on most cars to me is low, but I'm looking at a CPO GT2 in New Jersey, with 37K miles. Checks out on KBB, and has a clean history. 37K miles too high? Also considering the 2.0, but obviously more drawn to the 3.3TT.

Personally I think the mileage is a little high, but that is because I like to consider when I try to sell the car later on. I was looking at a 40k mile stinger at one point but talked myself out of it because it would only take me 1.5 years to reach 60k, 3 years to reach 80k. Imagine trying to sell a Stinger with 80k miles in only 3 years. If you don't drive a lot, higher mileage would probably be a good deal for you. One question is how on earth do you plan on getting a CPO GT2 at 30k otd?

Maybe 30k OTD was a bit optimistic, hah. But at listed price, I’m looking at closer to 34-35 with TTL, etc here in NYC. I do somewhere around 5-7k miles / year, since I live in NYC and primarily only drive on weekends. So around the time warranty ends, I’d be around 80k In 2028. The car is listed for 33 CPO.

That's not a bad deal since it is a CPO. GT2 is fully loaded though, you could get a lower price on a GT1.

yeah but the fully loaded is so nice!

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Very very open to a GT1, but they’re not easy to find in the northeast

If you’re going to spend $34-$$35k for an ‘18 with 37k miles, you’re almost better off doing a lease buyout on a new ‘20. It looks like ~$40k is doable with current lease incentives, and you’d be driving a brand spanking new car.

Hmm.. is it feasable to get the CPO car down further? A 10k difference is enough of a difference for me.

For $10k - sure, but right now you might be at $5-$6k (assuming you could get a new one for $40k). The way I always look at it is - how much am I saving vs new on a per year basis. With current deal, you’re at maybe $3k/a year (even less if you take into consideration that the car has about 3 years of normal driving under its belt). and obviously the car depreciates much more than that, especially when new.

Totally fair way to look at it, and appreciate the lookup. Trying to weigh depreciation new versus CPO, when I only drive 5-7k miles a year due to living in NYC, and being mostly home at the moment. If I was able to get a great deal on a lease, that’s ideal, but there aren’t a ton of available vehicles that I’m seeing, especially 2020’s. Hmm.

You can say that again haha, they must not have made many GT1s. They probably figured the upsell to GT2 would be pretty easy.
