put an order in for red Stinger GT 2022. was told that there's a good chance some features won't be available etc
waited 5 months and nothing they didn't even put my order in so I canceled the order got my deposit back.
so recently I purchased a 2017 yellow Stinger GT. online sight unseen due to covid it was a great deal getting delivered
to my door,I'm still waiting and while I'm waiting.
I'm getting crazy ideas, how do I know its a GT and not 330s
the interior looks ok in pictures like the GT badge in the hatch.
I'm looking everywhere for 2017 GT features all I see are 2021 GT features.
does anyone have a brochure of 2017 Gt compare to 330s

Lol, "one Red Stinger" and you're getting a Yellow delivered? :D You'll need an Aussie owner to inform about Australian Stinger trims. By the way, you say "2017", but that can only apply to the build date: the first Stingers were all Model Year 2018.

does 2017 or 2018 GT aus spec or GT2 US spec. come with the camera for dash turning signal

No.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
The GT is the only V6 model with perforated Nappa seats with heating and cooling. If you can see lots of little holes in the leather seats (or the little silver toggles in the centre console), then it's a GT. The 360 cameras at the front and under the side mirrors, and the presence of sunroof should also be giveaways that it's a GT and not a 330.

Apart from these obvious differences, there are also a ton of others: https://beta.redbook.com.au/compare/?ids=SPOT-ITM-473679,SPOT-ITM-473681

thanks for the help.
if it has a camera built-in mirror should see video as you turn on the dash right?

No. They're for side view and the 360 camera. Only the 2022 model has the side view in the instrument cluster when using the indicators.

thanks for the help.
i have one more and last question.
kia stingers had few recalls
1-KIA is recalling all Stingers that were painted Sunset Yellow due to a supplier defect that causes the paint to crack. Kia will shortly contact customers of Sunset Yellow Kia Stingers to offer a full vehicle respray due to defective paintwork, the company has told CarAdvice today.

2-Kia is conducting a safety recall campaign for 2017 – 2019 CK Stinger vehicles equipped the Hydraulic Electronic Control Unit (HECU) that could malfunction internally and cause an electrical short over time potentially resulting in an engine compartment fire.

I know I should contact Kia about this but while I'm here was hoping for advice before I contact them.
got my stinger today and love it yellow looks great but I noticed the middle of the bonnet or hood the clear is pealing size of 50c coin, how do I approach Kia about this issue .
I have no idea if any work was done by the previous owner also i bought the vehicle from
Kia dealer site unseen they said paint was perfect only small stone chip in bar.
but because their fairway they said any problems contact Kia in my area.
how do I know if my stinger has been rectified?

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your new Stinger! What will the Stinger be replacing for you? I'm glad you found us. :)

Hey 1_red_stinger,

Welcome to the Stinger forum and congrats on your new GT.

With the current global chip shortage, it can be difficult to find the right car.

I am glad to see that you stayed focused and were able to get your hands on a Stinger.

Come check us out at www.K8StingerStore.com for your aftermarket needs & please reach out if you need a discount.

Enjoy the new ride,
Daniel @ the K8 Stinger Store

You can find out about the HECU recall by putting in your VIN at Recall Information | Kia Owners | Kia Australia. The fix is simply replacing a multifuse and takes about 20 minutes.

The car will almost certainly have been re-sprayed several years ago, and Kia offered a lifetime guarantee on the repaint. But regardless of whether the car has been repainted or not, I think Kia will be willing to come to the party with a fix to your hood chips. A paint peel the size of a 50 cent coin isn't normal wear and tear, and obviously a manufacturing defect.

Thanks Adam .
i went on that, Kia recall and put my vin etc.
it says: There are currently no outstanding Recall Notice/s for this vehicle.
it must have been rectified?
love car. it was built in 2017 sold in 2018
here is a picture of the paint damage.
drove it to work today and wow I've never been in a fast car like this it's amazing.
I had the commodore ute 5.7L v8 it was never this fast.
found another problem the back of the seat suppose to grab you on the side
as you give it in sport mode well at least I know 2019 has that feature
im not sure of 2018

Yes, that means the recall has been carried out. The adjusting bolsters in sport mode wasn't in 2017 to 3Q 2019 build vehicles.

the bolsters can be adjusted manually right?
I have the round nob,i move it nothing happens only get a knocking noise inside the seat.

Yes. Try twisting it both ways. If it's knocking it might just mean that it has reached its maximum extension (normally it takes eight seconds to fully close or open when twisted either way, and the motor continues to run even when it can't go any further).

I didn't even know the "regular" Stinger GT cars came in that color.

Sunset Yellow was the special or "limited" color in 2018. 2019, in the US at least, the limited color was Federation Orange; in 2020 it was "Indigo" (the Aussies had been offered Deep Chroma Blue the whole time, but in the US it didn't exist until Indigo came out). 2021/22 you can get the current special color, Ascot Green. :D I don't think it's a limited color though, just a new one.
