week 1
--at the bank, while i am inside, i notice a construction worker walk over to my GT. he does a complete 360 around the car, never taking his eyes off it, pauses for a few minutes with his hands on hips , and walks away.

week 2
-at the supermarket parked, man waves me to lower my window. "wow, what is that" he says
"what a beautiful, classy looking car."
1 hour later
-parked, while picking my daughter up.
man parked beside me leans across his front seat to the passenger window "that is an absolutely beautiful car"
-daughter gets in the car, tells me her dance instructor asked "whose car is that?" when she saw me pull up and park

next day
-loading the car up with groceries at the supermarket--usual Sunday food shopping
young couple pull up beside me in a truck and roll down the windows. "wow, dont see a lot of those. its beautiful. is it fun to drive?"

-i guess i expected some attention, but nothing like this!!!

best part is when they ask what it is...i say..a STINGER!

I've had a stranger take a picture of my blue GT2 at a gas station!

You know in Australia we don’t even get a glance. The interest factor is low unfortunately no one notices, weird hey? I have had my car 7 months and no one has stopped to ask about the car except at cars and coffee.

That’s strange, my experience has been totally the opposite. I’ve had people quiz me on the car everywhere I go. Supermarkets, service stations, car parks, drivers of other cars pulled up beside me, even some road workers wanted to chat while I was pulled up at a red light the other day.

Must be a WA thing :p

Desslok, where are you?

Stingers are getting almost common in my stomping grounds (I've sighted 11 in the wild so far), and I now go a long time between comments, but just last week she got admiring comments 3 times in one morning. Just one more thing that makes this car so much fun to own!

I've noticed most of the people that stare and ask about it approach from the back of the car because I replaced the KIA badge with the Stinger script (only because I thought the large script looked way cooler). When people approach from the front they don't seem to care as much. Goes to show just how much people base their opinions on brand.

I have zero issues with it in the end, I have so much fun driving this car that it could be the new Ford Pinto and I wouldn't care. I'm also in my mid-thirties with a family so I'm not as concerned with badges anymore. I kind of like the shock value of it begin a KIA.

That would be annoying. You should just say, I love the car but its a Kia not a Ferrari. I even replaced the badge to this ugly "E" thing because I was ashamed.

while in stop and go traffic i had a guy in the next right lane stick his camera phone out the window and take a picture.

Yeah get use to it lol. Got a picture taken and multiple questions at the gas station. You just dont see a lot of Stingers around. I probably see maybe 4 total here in down.

I've only had my car for about 5 weeks, and the attention the car gets is insane. And to top it off, I have the STINGER script badge in the back, and the E-badge in the front.....so people just circle the car just racking their brains trying to figure out what it is. I don't blame them though.....it's a beautiful machine.

Glad to see your car getting recognition! Had mine for a month and a half now and still not quite used to the staring myself.

The amount of attention your car is getting is normal.

The amount of time you spend buying groceries is abnormal. :D

Get used to it lol. I've had mine since February 28th and still get questions at least 2 days a week.

When I first got it, it was every day 2-3 times a day. People of all types asking and taking pictures. It feels awesome!

I had a guy ask me on Sunday "is that the new electric car?"

I have had mine since 4/18...it is really a show stopper. Just had a guy on a bad ass bike give me a thumbs up yesterday. I will always ask if someone wants to hear the Stinger story...I love to share it. Mine ends with...it has a better warranty, rides better, is faster...and is 30k cheaper then the AMG Mercedes I traded in for it!!!

I think the blue color has a lot to do with it, I saw one at the dealer.....thats a good color!!

Yup sure does. My friend did not believe me, he's a brand snob so he followed me in his Acura and as I rolled past people standing on the street, they turned the head checking out my car. Yesterday I saw this couple on their new elantra pass me and the woman looked like she almost broke her neck trying to figure out what car I was driving. This car just makes me smile. I love my blue stinger!

long may the staring continue! we are a funny bunch here in the UK. we will admire from afar but will rarely approach someone in person to compliment them on their car. I get loads of stares from people, but no one has approached me to ask about the car, other than colleagues at work. maybe i'm just scary looking! :p
