Leased (planing on buying out- I’m the F&I manager at a Kia dealer) a 2.0T AWD STINGER. already have the lap3 installed, and am looking for other performance mods. What else can I do? I’m planning on ordering the JUNbl exhaust, and I’d like to get an intake but can’t find one for the 2.0T. Anyone able to find an intake for the 2.0? Also, what else can I do for more power? #shouldveboughtaGT

What plugs are you running? Guess you'll have to wait for more performance upgrades like turbos and intercoolers and then a tune. They will come to market, just will take a while. Been almost 6 months and the first tune(non-piggyback) is about to be available for the 3.3L and its not even open source. Enjoy the car for now for what its worth, am still enjoying my 4 banger and cant get enough!

I too am enjoying the stock 2.0T. Maybe I'll mess around a bit down the road. Happy to see others are eager to get going with it!

Could I ask input here about engine break in: I have 800 miles on mine, when can I safely start running it up to redline regularly?? From a longevity and performance stand point.

Running the plugs that they suggested with the LAP3. You’re right, I shouldn’t say I should’ve gone with something else because I do love this car. Thanks.

I live in a fairly rural area with a lot of amazing backroads. Always have my radar dector on as well as waze running. Look up your local track and see if they have open track days if you want to do it the right way though. I have 5,000 miles on mine and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every mile

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

The wise ass response would be get a 3.3. I own a 2.0T....and I get what the need for speed is, but BenS is right , there really is no need for extra boost unless you do track time....I agree, I'm not looking for added power,(the car as it is will get you all the speeding tickets you want as is). I modded a few cars/trucks mostly for personal ego, I rarely used the mods as were intended. but nice to know I could.....same mindset here with the 2.0t...I rarely use the sport mode , but glad to use it all the same.

The 2.0 isn't slow by any means.. i know many won't agree but you don't really need the power that comes with the V6 - yes it's an amazing engine but 95% of the time you can't/shouldn't use the power the V6 gives you because you can break the law/get into danger so quickly. I remember the dealer saying to me that in the wrong hands the V6 Stinger is deadly and I don't think he's wrong.

Would I like to own a V6 Stinger? Sure, it would be great and lots of fun. But do i need that much power? No, not really. The 2.0 isn't as quick but it has enough get up and go to be able to get out of trouble/accelerate when needed and can overtake most vehicles on the road if required.

I don't think the 2.0 needs more horsepower than it has; think KIA got it about right, but that's just me.

pretty spot on as to why I bought mine, that and the price.:)
