2.0 intake options?

Yeah that's what I thought. From the extra performance that you're going to get it's not worth losing the 10 year 100,000 mile warranty . After one or the other expires I'll take out the kitchen table and the sliding glass door , and become a mad scientist . By then there should be so many aftermarket mods you'll need a space suit to drive it or Fly it LOL .

Super honest of you. If you tune it and break it how or why should Kia be responsible for that.

I’m making a joke. I certainly hold myself accountable for what I do. Cheers!

It's an SRI, though I'm going to test fit the carbon fiber heat shield that NGM makes for the 3.3 on a 2.0 to see if that might work. It's worth a shot! Air is fed to the filter from the OEM air ducting. It's a decent location for the filter actually.

Thanks to Wikipedia, I just learned that SRI = short ram (air) intake

Soon I might know just enough to be dangerous!

Sure, the R&D process is expected to be completed in about 2 weeks. I expect to have pics for everyone at the beginning of March. Once I give NGM the go-ahead, they'll crank out the first batch. They're very reasonable as far as pricing is concerned too, so I would expect it to be in the $150 range including shipping to US destinations. (Figure about $20 higher to Canada and $30 or so more to the rest of the world). Again though, that's just an estimate based on other intakes they've done in the past, so don't quote me on it.

@ImportSharkMike, the intake sounds good to me. Does the following combo make sense to you?

$150 SRI
+ $590 LAP3 Uncle Chip
+ $140 Oil Catch Can with Mounting Bracket
=============================
$880 Tuning Bundle for Stinger 2.0

With the above mods, would it also be advisable to change out the OEM spark plugs on the Stinger 2.0?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

People around here seem pretty helpful if you have questions or would like clarification about something. I'm always available via private message as well if you'd like to inbox me regarding stuff like this. ;)

Personally, I'd stay far away from a chip or ECU reflash this early in the game. The car has plenty of power as is and with basic add-ons such as intake, catback and downpipe, should have a nice bump too. The catch can won't give you any performance gain, and I'm not quite sure at this point how much excess oil Stingers might spit out anyway. It's likely not much, so I'd wait until someone else adds a catch can so there's actual real-world results on the table.

Sounds like good advice, @ImportSharkMike. Thank you! :thumbup:
