12 Things You Didn't Know about the Stinger

Found this today, lots of interesting tidbits about the car.  I have a suspicion Jenny has already read it, but maybe not.  Based on #8, I guess I was wrong about "Stinger GT" just being the regular full model name.  Looks like "GT" is the V6 trim level after all.

Great find! Thank you for posting the link! Yes, lots of good information there. So GT is reserved for the twin turbo V6! Cool.

Now... I imagine we've only seen pictures of the Stinger GT to this point... So I wonder what the non-GT is going to look like!  :s

Yeah, I hear ya! I think a whole lot of people are sitting around with money "in hand" waiting to buy a Stinger GT!

Well, either nobody buys this car and your uniqueness lasts longer than you think, or it's a massive success and we see more cars like this from the Koreans in the future. Either way, I think we win.

I'm more of a 'let the bugs get worked out' guy. But that means I never had "the new thing". Ugh!

I'm so confident that this car is going to be a massive success. When does a car steal the show at NAIAS at not be? I guess you could say - when it's a Kia? I don't know. I don't think the badge is going to matter in this case. Let's hope!

I see the car has a lot driver assist features, but I did not see anything about park assist or side detections. I have park assist and side detection on my 2015 Ford Edge Sport, and I use those features all the time.

I'm almost positive it has rear cross alert. Or do you mean blindspot detection? I haven't seen anywhere about it having park assist. Actually, I'm not even sure what that is. What is it?

I use the hell out of the surround camera system on my car, and I think it's fair to say no Kia is going to have such a feature. I'm tempted to get a Stinger, but that's something I would surely miss.

The Optima and Sorrento have a surround view camera system so I think the Stinger would have it as well. At least as an option...

The more I learn about this car the more I like it and want it. Now that Hyundai doesn't make the Genesis anymore I think Kia is going to be the brand with the best bang for your buck. Hyundai can't do too much because it'll interfere with Genesis sales. Kia has no ceiling to worry about.

And yes it is from the "US spec" picture set. Feature is unlikely to be avail on the entry spec models, we'll have to wait an see.

I scrutinized everything that looked like it could have included this crop, and none of them seemed to have that high of resolution shot of the mirror.
