• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

I ve got Dragy and can t do better than 5.2 sec on dry *about 15deg Celsius outside..
I ve got a AWD and a Bastuck exhaust that should deliver +/- 8 to 10 hp more and superlight rims... how come it s not even under 5 seconds?

Feels like there s some lag using the Launch in any mode. Sport+ gave best results but yeah.. 5.2 sec

road condtions. Car and Driver and alike likely have more track ready surface and typical streets are not as grippy roads. One factor there and humidity, and other variable I assume. and those guys record their best run. what tires are on your car ? I don't think I can get better than 4.9 ever.

I ve got ContiSportContact I got with the car, 19"

There's always this to console yourself. Play it loudly, play it often: (play it now, before YouTube makes it unreachable):

TrackAddict claims a time of 4.2 seconds in mine (GT2 AWD); I don't trust it and will be buying a dragy. If it's accurate, it's timing via the Tesla/BMW/Audi method where 0 is redefined as "whatever you're doing at 1ft rollout" which depending on how long it takes to bite could be as much as 0.5 second which would arrive at the official spec of 4.7 seconds.

I have since installed the BMS cold air intakes but I am not going to bother with TrackAddict since its is sus.

Pavement temperature makes a YUGE difference in accelerating from the digs. Ideal condition is a relatively cool day with direct sunlight on black pavement where the pavement is good and hot and your tires are warmed up and the turbines are nice and cool.

Intercooler sprayers?
On that note I've been wondering about intercooler sprayer kits - does anyone make one for the Stinger? (for reference, STI S209 has one stock; it is different from the WMI systems. It just sprays a mist of water onto the intercooler for evaporative cooling to assist with cooling the intake charge)

If you're curious about this system go to The S209. From Japan with Love. and search the page for "Intercooler Water-Spray System".

that guys did it with the 1ft rollout option and got 4.49 sec which is pretty nice !

Turns out Dragy has the 1ft roolout auto for 1/8 1/4 miles but not for 0-60 / 0-100
looks like there s 1/2 sec difference so looking forward to Dargy updating their app...

Don t think 4.2 is ''valid''... unless you tuned it a lot ofc.

That's far more believable than the 4.2 TrackAddict recorded in my car. I know TrackAddict's claim of 4.2 seconds isn't valid and said as much - even if it were counting as (speed after 1ft rollout)-60, 4.2 seconds is extremely optimistic. I need a Dragy. :)

For comparison, Dragy recorded the Stinger in this youtube video at 4.41s with JB4 running map2, so TrackAddict is on crack:

I don't have a dragy or the race box like that guy has in video, but I plan on getting one, one day, but not in a rush, since I'm getting out the drag strip regularly, I rather have those numbers vs. a gragy app. Real timer should be more accurate.
I'll get one, maybe next spring.
As per water spray comment, I plan on manually spraying my intercooler this coming Sunday at the strip, to see if I get better times.
