‘More Exciting’ Kia Forte is Coming Says Product Manager

Sitting in Princeton, WV., AFTER A 1,000 km trip from Ontario to West Virginia in 9.5 hrs, came across this little item in my hotel room:


It feels like Kia has taken on a whole new personality following the introduction of the Stinger sedan.

BTW made friends with the local Hyundai Dealership, who were kind enough to wash the Stinger, and peel off all the ice and sleet & snow after this trip. Great people!!!

car trip I bet

It was great! And beautiful! Mist or fog frozen on the trees, a dusting of snow on the ground, lots of crap fling up and obscuring your view, especially if you are following an F250 flying along @ 130+ km/h...
The Michelin Pilot Sport 3+ A/S tires performed great. Who skips along @ 130+ on that sort of surface through the mountains of Pennsylvania and West Virginia? I never felt like "Oh, oh, maybe I shouldn't have done that. With AWD and those tires, the car tracked like on rails.

Two scary moments: Still in Ontario, the TPMS light came on, and off the QEW (Queen Elizabeth Highway) pulled by chance into a KIA dealership @ 6:00 am and with biting wind and -15 C proceeded to check all tires, and inflate them to 40lbs.

One tire was low, maybe caused by the sudden drop in temperature, who knows?
Second incident happened, when the "Attention" light came on (the pyramid with that exclamation mark in the center. The wife got a bit worried, but I figured the sensors/RADAR got covered with ice and were not able to operate. I cleaned it up at the next gas stop, and so it was.

The TPMS did not light up again, but I'll check it tomorrow mornig, before we head out to Palm Coast, FL, another 8 hr. drive. I am looking forward to this one.

That front sensor is a pain in a snow storm , but once you know why .....................travel safely !
