Hi guys!,
I'm from Spain and love the Stinger GT, but I have a doubt... Now it's possible order the 2019 model in this 2018. But i'm thinking... The 2020 model ( order in summer of 2019 ) there will be a restyling ?? Some rumors?. I really want to have it but I want to do things well.

Restyling in year 3 would be unlikely , possibly some mild refeshing of some elements like lights but major restyling usually occurs after 6 or 7 years ......................can you wait that long ??????:thumbdown::)

What are you waiting for?

Get it now, it just came out so you’re going to wait a bit for that redesign.

Agreed, get the 2019 that will include all the features that were missing from 2018. I doubt they'll be a huge 2020 difference.

You are the first person I have seen asking "should I wait till the MY20?" This allows that there will be a 2020. I think there will be. But we don't know how the G70 will draw buyers away from the Stinger. We don't know how sales will continue otherwise. I think they will be acceptable at the very least. But why wait for what you obviously want now? If the Stinger is a great car, the MY18 or 19 will be a great car years from now. New toys coming along will not take any of the car away that we enjoy today.

Anyway I think here in Europe ( at least in Spain ) the 2018 model comes by default with everything included, from what I've been reading.

Here the 2019 model will have 366 HP and not current 370, because of the new emission regulations, thank goodness they are only 4 symbolic HP.

You're right, I think it's a good buy for the future.

Until we see a stinger on the web driving around in full camouflage nothing to worry about. 2019 is great but a discount 2018 might be better.

Those are mildly disturbing. Almost car abuse. Mismatched wheels in the mix on top of everything else. Bleh.

Just do it & do it now.

Hyundai/Kia usually do little refreshers every 3-4 years or so. Aside from minor updates and shuffling features around I wouldn't expect to see anything like an actual refresh until 2021 at the earliest. And if Kia has no problem putting out the K900 that they move like..literal handfuls of monthly, I don't see the Stinger going anywhere.

Facelift would come in year four or half way through year three. Would likely involve bumpers, lights and maybe the vents. Imo the tail lights and vents (side and hood) already could use a facelift.

Hopefully they will fix the HUD some time soon. Test drove a GT Stinger today and because I was wearing my polarised sunnies(like 90% of Aussies do)I couldn’t see the HUD on the windscreen. I can’t believe KIA has made such a mistake. I’ve driven dunnydores, many Audi’s,Mitsubishi’s etc and all their HUD’s work perfect with polarised sun glasses. A defect like this is enough to stop me buying any veh.

It’s a small problem I agree, I can still see sometimes through my polarised sunnies but it’s no big deal compared to the pleasure of owning & driving this car, so much bang for your buck.

Is the problem the sunnies or the angle of the sun on the windshield? I’ve noticed the more light on the windshield the harder it is to see the HUD, whether wearing sunnies or not, which makes sense given the HUD is being projected onto the windshield.

I’m not sure if the sun is the drama,I think KIA has just stuffed up. Whe I first ordered my SQ5 back in 2013 I took a brand new top of the line BMW X5 for a test drive. The salesman came with me,whilst I was driving he asked me what I thought of the HUD and I asked him “what HUD”. He said “Oh,are your sunnies polarised?”. I replied “yes, just like most people in Australia are wearing mate”. He then told me that it doesn’t work with my sunnies and I told him that I thought BMW would have not have made such a stuffup considering a $40,000 VF commodore that has a HUD can be perfectly seen whilst wearing polarised sunnies. It’s just strange that KIA has made this mistake. I would have to buy a normal pair of sunnies and keep them in the Stinger. My misses just bought a new AWD Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross,it has a HUD and it works perfect with my sunnies as well. Very interesting. On another note, has anyone found a replacement part for that horrible silver/brushed alloy centre console bit?..something carbon fibre looking would be great. Everything aside,I do love the Stinger!

I thought my sunnies were polarised but maybe they’re not because I can see my HUD ok except if I’m driving into the sun or on very bright days. I’m taking them back and getting my money back coz they were advertised as polarised:)
