I couldn't find an used console wiring harness for the 2021+ version, so I went with custom solution, unfortunately no luck, some signals are still missing to display data on the screen, or the screen I bought is not working. I'll try to buy another screen and the wiring harness.

I have a different problem. I purchased 2 Kia Stinger models: both have damages. One of them is Kia Stinger GT2 (2021) with full options and other is 2022 Stinger GT1. I want to fix 2022 facelift model, but it has not so many comfort options. So I will put all rear wiring harness from GT2 2021. It connects to both sides of front panel, as you know. Also I want to keep a 10,25 inch display of 2022, but the wiring harness of 2021 GT2 is different when it should be for 2022 GT2. So I am thinking to search for a new wiring harness for the 2022 GT2 model version. Because too many connections/cables are missing in the GT1 wiring harness.

i have the 2018 GT2 with the 8" infotainment + HUD
really thinking about replacing the infotainment to the 10.25"
and i said to my self if i'm going this far i should also replace the gauge cluster ( to have the blind spot camera) and installing the ambient lighting system ( our region dealer never import ambient lighting versions) since all this features handled by the head/radio unit.
i didn't like the refreshed 2021+ model so not interested to swap my car with the newer one
just needing the features mentioned above.
i am keeping a close eye on this thread to map my way through the process.
Same I really want the gauge with camera but was told by a buy that programs them that I can’t buy a new gauge and have it programmed and show blind spots . But I see all the questions about pins being different but I don’t see that mattering as you need screen and lower radio from new stinger so in theory I don’t see why this can’t be done and the screen definitely fits just need new plastic part but if u can get screen and radio part I really don’t see this being hard. Updating I see an issue arnt those gps updated and no flash card .
But I might try doin this down the line so I’m interested if anyone has tried to yet
Screen I feel is possible now I’d have to find wiring diagram to see connections but it will fit just replace plastic part. But parts would be expensive which is fine but feel it’s possible ima look into it. And I also want mirror screen and feel that should be even easier as I already have really the same dash and the camera are there so why can’t they have an update to allow it as we have everything for it. I want that bad

Got some wiring diagrams from the Dealer, but it didn't help, because it's absolutely rubbish
A friend of mine bought a 2022 Kia Stinger and I hope he will rent me the car for a weekend so I can check the wiring with the multimeter and oscilloscope.
I also trying to replace my 8 inch headunit on my 2021 diesel sorento by 10.25 in. I bought a used one on eBay that was removed on sorento 2022 phev. But failed, the 10.25 headunit conmected to my vehicle without camera signal, also no sound. I doubt the firmware issue. I downloaded the firmware for my sorento model. However, not allowed to update. Saying the update file incompatible to the vehicle. Any ideas???

generally the radio needs replacement as well as that is what controls the screens operations
also if the sound systems amplifier is different on the car that it was taken from, it wont work
for example on the stinger, the base model gt-line uses a 7 speaker system with no amp
while the gt, gt1, gt2 use a harmon kardon speaker setup with an amplifier
this results in no audio/sound from the swap
i found in the engineering menu that the gt-line 7" screen is set to internal amp while the gt2 8" screen is set to harmon kardon amp and isn't able to be changed (at least from my attempts, would love if someone is able to figure out how to change the setting)
This thread is about upgrading to the 10" screen but I have replaced the stock 7" screen in a base gt for an 8" screen out of a gt2. Screen came out of a wrecked car, was purchased on eBay. It was the entire unit though, not just the outside screen.

I bought a second car with the new entertainment, because friend of mine didn't accept my offer
I'll wait for a bit warmer days to swap the infotainments and see if the new one will start in the older car.
