Who plans to tint their windows? Or who already has? What are your plans? Very dark? Light? What percentage will you use and what is the legal limit in your area? I usually go 20% but I used to do 5%. I do this for each window all around the car and 50% on the windshield.

I typically do the same - that's 20% all around with 50% on the front and a strip of limo at the very top to offset and hide the fact that the windshield is tinted. I think legal around me is like 30% or 40% but it's Florida - the sun is very strong most of the year - so most people have dark tint and we're rarely ever bothered about it. Even the police have dark tint around here.

I find it annoying how so many people drive with their brights on so I might tint the rear window with limo (5%) unless there's a sunshade...

Yes, most of the glass, with the possible exception of the windshield, will be tinted, including the sunroof. If thicker material is available, that will go on the top. If something will cause the sunroof to explode, hopefully the tinting film will keep the mess together.

The hatch (glass) has the AM/FM antenna installed. So pay attention to the film used, it should not interfere with the reception.

As per %, I'll be guided by the installer's recommendations.

Oh, yes - that's right. I will have to think about tinting the panoramic roof. I'd do so with the lightest tint possible... So far I've never had an issue with antenna reception but I always use a high quality tint installed by a shop I trust. I might as well give them a little "shout out":

...they've been tinting my cars for years and they're amazing. I've never had an issue with any of their work but one time I went in to drop off another car and little did I know - the guy who tinted my car was outside inspecting the job he did on my car while I was leaving the keys for the new one. As I walked out he pointed out something he wasn't 100% happy with and fixed it. I didn't notice anything - but he did...

All 4 side windows + the 2 rear quarters & rear hatch glass in darkest legal 35% (NSW Aus - please correct me if incorrect %). It is illegal to apply tint to the windscreen in NSW.

It's not exactly legal to tint the windscreen/windshield here either in the U.S. But we're allowed a bit of anything we want at the very top. Approximately 8 inches worth...

Legit question. I want too, but I'm going to have to get me another pair of glasses; ones that don't self tint. They are AWESOME during the day, but at night, it's hard as hell to see out my windows with tint. Why don't they put self tint in car windows? Safety glass? I mean come on, these lenses are half inch from my eyes! <snicker> Oh! Adjustable tint! I know, expensive, but it would be awesome!... Excuse me sir? Do you know why I pulled you over? No, officer. Yeah, your window tint is too dark. I'm gonna have to write you..... Huh. Well, I'll be damned. Never mind sir, you can be on your way.

Haha. You don't know how badly I want tint that I can adjust easily from inside the car. I see it exists for windows - just not car windows - yet...

Ok, most cars here in Aus have a blue dark tint along the top of the windscreen, not sure on the Stinger though, but I’ll find out this Thursday when I finally take delivery.

Yes, we have that as well. It's typically very short over here - not much tint at all...

If I get a Stinger, I will tint the windows. 32% is the legal limit here and that is what I have on my car now (although it still causess me issues with law enforcement.

Police still bother you about the tint, huh? What do you drive now? I had some pretty light tint on cars before and still got bothered as well. Not so much pulled over for it - but if I got pulled over for anything at all, they mentioned the "illegal tint". It was perfectly legal. My car was a nice bright white so maybe that offset it and made it look darker than it really was...

I drive a 99 Grand Am. Most jurisdictions don't care. The ones that do use it to racially profile. They give me a warning and say "Don't let me catch you around here again." I had a deputy tell tell me that their department does not have testers for that reason ;it will only be used to harass motorists.

Utah cops are Nazi's about the tinted windows. They use it for a reason to pull you over and see what else they can nail you with. I'm not sure what is worse there, tinted windows over over-sized tires.
