I’m after advice on this radiator cap that I just purchased, see below link.
Looking at the markings on my current original cap it has 1.1 marked on the side, so I am assuming this is 1.1 Bar = 16psi, the one I’ve purchased is 1.3 Bar = 19psi.
My question is, as this will be an approx. 20% increase in the pressure release, will the use of this cap cause problems or be beneficial to the cooling system. I have stock 3.3l & currently have no intention of any engine upgrades at this point in time.
Is anyone currently using this without issues & also any experience/input on this subject is welcome.
Thanks in advance.

Well, my service dealer told me not to fit it, he said keep the OE one with the correct pressure not worth the hassle it may cause over pressurising the cooling system, case closed.

Different manufacturers cater different radiator pressure cap to different engine to cater for coolant expansion. Unless required the pressure cap can be replace with a higher rating to increase coolant boiling point and cater for increase coolant pressure expansion between spare tank and radiator. It is unnecessary to increase the pressure cap limit unless the engine is design to run at higher coolant pressure. On stock engine it does more harm than good as it affects warm up time and unnecessary increase of coolant pressure.
