Hi all, the beautiful grey metal between the spokes and on the sides of the spokes (and for that matter, the recessed areas of the spokes as well) is starting to show signs of mileage. :) A ding here, a scuff/scratch there (the latest one I suspect was caused during maintenance which includes tire rotation: "It's so hard to find good help these days"). Anyway, I want to be able to get in there and knock back the glaring flaws with some touch up paint. And if anyone knows which Kia touch up pen is the right color, please tell me (us). Thanks.

I would like to know too. I made a mark when taking off the caps.

I really do not know. I am going to order touch up pins in each color to keep at the store. I will let you know what is close. We have a wheel guy who comes once a week. I will ask him what he recommends to match.

Thanks for getting involved. I await your answer.

My thought, just a hunk a junk! Keep them until they get all scratched and gouges.

That rolled of your fingertips easily enough. ;) But at $630 a wheel, I think I will be touching up for a good long while.

There's always "Wheel Werks" or similar wheel restoration services. But they start at c. $125 and one day out of commission. Up to three days out of commission (as quoted to me). Eesh! That adds up fast, and I will not willingly leave my car for days on end, for anything but mechanical failure or the threat thereof (warning messages, etc.).

I am getting a Panthera Metal pen this week and will let you know how close it is.

What happened with the color match?

What happened with the color match?

Sorry I forgot to post. It didn’t appear to be an absolute match but it sure was close. It seemed to work for me but my knick really was tiny. I just barely touched the tip of the pen to it and you wouldn’t be able to tell even if you were right in front of it.

I am guessing that the Panthera is darker than the gun metal inner surfaces of the GT wheel; and far more metallic (glittery).

It's to bad they weren't black with machined face. Easy to match and looks great too.

You know, I've thought how I could do that: take the gloss black powder coating off the face and have clear coated polished alloy and gloss black. Nobody has done this yet that I know of.
