Would you ever rent your Stinger out on Turo?

I'm planning a trip to SD and I happened to come across this while looking around on Turo. It's the first Stinger I've seen on the site and renters seem to really enjoy it, based on the reviews.

It's putting ideas in my head. Mine tends to sit alot since I live very close to work, so who knows, maybe I'll post it and see if I get any bites....

Are you kidding me, I get nervous when my wife takes it to the super market.

Not just no, but HELL no..

I personally would not, but our neighbor travels a lot for his job, and does the same thing with his Tesla. He says he's had the rentals basically make what a monthly payment on it would have been. So depending on your attachment level, it could be lucrative. :)

I refused to purchase a dealer car that had demonstration mileage on it, specifically because of how people treat cars on test drives. The car I DID purchase had 12 KM (7.5 miles) on it when the transporter unloaded it - as the salesman said, the only person to drive it so far was a little Korean man ...

No way would I let renters let loose on it, as you can be sure they are going to flog it like a rented mule. I have friends with an upscale cabin they rent on AirB&B, and you wouldn't believe the horror stories they tell about damage caused by people who figure 'I paid for it, and I can do as I like with it'.

No, no noooooooo ....

Yeah, my 4yr old knows to wash his hands before getting into "Sally" lol. Like I said, it would depend upon one's attachment level to the car, among other factors. If it were a Camry XLE and I knew I could recoup the monthly nut on 6 days of the month that I knew I wasn't going to be driving it, that would be a no-brainer ;)

Then there's also the insurance issues. Tolls, damage, etc...........

I would never do that, and my 13 year old daughter does not care.

This is a thread topic I never imagined seeing. Rent my Stinger? You must be high. There's that scene in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, where he and his rich kid friend take the rich kid's dad's Ferrari 250 GTO for the "day off", and leave it with some valet parking lot: and then we see the valets joy riding in it like maniacs. That's your Stinger substituted for the GTO, bet your life on it. Sheesh!

I am lucky the Mrs let's me drive. Don't give her any ideas about renting it to me. As for the question, no way!! I k o how I have treated rental cars.

Definitely No!

That right there is why it's so tempting. I don't drive it much, probably 100-200 miles a week, and I'm absolutely not attached to it or any material possession. I could use whatever income to pay it off faster (and support my Amazon habit).

Win-win.

It probably messes up your warranty. The ten years becomes six. There are clauses in the warranty book, or manual about this stuff.
