In for a #2!

Jon, just wanted to confirm - the back of the intake boxes are open, so the incoming air flows over the filter cones directly into the engine compartment, correct?

Unfortunately, us poor colonials don't enjoy the favorable exchange rate of our southern neighbours (CAD is pretty close to par with AUD), so I'll be keen to see what you end up with for a landed cost. Having said that, it appears you've done an excellent job with both the engineering and aesthetics - it's really a nice looking system from a design standpoint.

I'd be in for a kit 2.

While you are working out costs, would it make sense to offer an 'export' version of the kit that included your proprietary work, but without the K&N filters? I know size is critical on overseas shipments, and those are some big (but standard) filters that could possibly be purchased locally to reduce the freight cost.

Lowering the cost of the kit (minus the filters) should also make it more attractive for international sales - and save those poor filters a trip to Australia and back ... :p

Is $100 either way going to make a big deal to me? No. This is a beautiful piece of armory for the car.

I really should buy the intercooler with this also since the bumper will be off.

Yes you should. Let us all know how it goes.

^^^^you can each sponsor me $50 to fund this!

No argument that Jon has put together a nice piece of work - but freight to/from Australia is high, and we Canadians are a notoriously frugal bunch. We'd rather spend our money on beer ... :)

I see paring the kit down for export as a win-win for both the supplier and the purchaser. For the purchaser the landed cost is much lower, though there is the extra step of ordering filters - not much of a hardship with rapid online ordering and delivery. For the supplier he can sell through at a substantially lower price point, maintain his profit, and have less work/handling to do on his end.

What's not to like? :D

@Jonnytig can you post the dyno of just the air intake please? I’d be interested in version 2.

Option 2 please.

On a completely separate and unrelated note, who wants to buy my torq intakes for $150?
