If these two could talk, I wonder what they would have been saying to each other?

The Stinger is probably jealous of the Maserati's functional engine ports.

Why? Those are capable of modification, i.e. added air intake when modifying for higher horsepower. Meanwhile, of course they look cool.

i don't think the ghibli has functional air ports.

according to my neighbor, who owns an '18 ghibli, there isn't a direct route for heat to be expelled by those ports. they are ornamental. even though they are open on the back side, the heat leaving is minimal, at best.

Stinger-I cost less and have a better warranty. Ride me hard and be rewarded.
Maserati-Your paint sucks I can see chips from here.
Stinger-I said i cost less and my issues are being addressed.Oh....and you are a poor mans Ferrari.
Stinger-I'm still laughing when they added the Maserati name to the Chrysler TC
Maserati-You win $_57.webp

Guy in the green shirt is like......Damn, why did I buy a Maserati?

Yeah I thought they were functional if not actually necessary. I hear the chrome bits are put on with an adhesive instead of screws though, so they're prone to just falling off.

I usually make a habit of judging cars the way they're made, not by theoretically what can be achieved later by a small subset of owners. The Stinger was designed to reach its performance goals without any hood vents necessary, which is great. But it doesn't change the fact they slapped fake plastic on the hood to make it look like it has something it doesn't. I like the look of it just because the black is a nice contrast to the large (insert color of choice here) hood, but since it's fake it'd be no less ridiculous if it were a vinyl sticker or just black paint. If I'm gonna joke on people who stick chrome pep boys junk on their $14,000 econo boxes to try to look fast, I have to admit my $40k Stinger does the same thing.

Ghibli: "Ciao, ragazzo. Benvenuto nel quartiere." (Hello, kid. Welcome to the neighborhood.)

Stinger: "감사합니다. 나는 여기에 기뻐요!" gamsahabnida. naneun yeogie gippeoyo! (Thank you, sir. I am glad to be here!)
