Hi All,

New to the forum. Currently driving an Optima GT but waiting patiently for my Stinger GT in white. Only ordered a month ago so still got a wait. But was lucky enough to do a test drive in the GT last weekend. Incredible!

John

Welcome to the forums! The wait is the worst part. I was about to ask how in the world you got to test drive one until I saw that you weren't in the US. hehehe

I don't get why car companies don't normalize offerings in all territories. Did Kia think that calling the Optima GT the Optima SX would just play better in America? But then reverse that decision for the Stinger? I guess I'm glad they never offered us that sweet sportwagon Optima that everyone else gets, because I'd have probably traded in for it right away and then wouldn't be in the market for a Stinger now.

Fantastic, good luck with that. How long do you have to wait?
Dealer reckons 4 months from order so hoping late Jan early Feb. But he also said Kia were manufacturing in colour batches and if your colour choice is popular maybe earlier delivery.

Test drive was in a ceramic grey GT. Wouldn't be my first choice colour but the car still looked fantastic. Got out onto some quieter roads to really see what she could do and definitely not disappointed. Acceleration and handling were amazing. Cool thing was the dealer was as excited as I was with the car!

Great to hear! Thank you. This car is mostly a no brainer for anyone who's already experienced a Kia and has that comfort level. Some people these days, even in 2017, still don't realize that Kia makes as good a car as any brand...

Excuse me but I got to ride along in a McLaren 570S and my Optima SX leaves a lot to be desired :p
They'd really beat the competition in value if they could give us 600hp mated to a DSG/DCT for $50k.

THAT would be a hell of a Kia. :p Perhaps an exotic car. I'd love for Kia to do something like that. A true exotic appearance along with performance for $100k. Sort of like Acura did with the original NSX...
