Moller’s car was ready years ago, it’s the FAA that’s held it up, don’t think it will ever come to fruition.Somebody let Moller know ... I swear he's just about ready to release the competition ...![]()
As a pilot myself, I've kept a close eye on his progress and prototypes - nobody would love to see the idea come to fruition more than I.Moller’s car was ready years ago, it’s the FAA that’s held it up, don’t think it will ever come to fruition.
Agree , I have not followed his progress that closely and there have been other successes of late from other designers but the fundamental issue is how are they going to manage the traffic. Apparently NASA is working on some sort of solution but I wouldn’t be alive by the time it becomes reality I think. Just like pilotless planes.... who would fly on one if there was no pilot? Can’t trust a computer. As a pilot myself, I've kept a close eye on this progress and prototypes - nobody would love to see the idea come to fruition more than I.
However, I'd disagree that he ever reached a point I'd call 'ready' ... despite the claimed advances with his new engines, I think he is still looking at a fundamental deficit on power to weight.
You and me both, mate ...... Apparently NASA is working on some sort of solution but I wouldn’t be alive by the time it becomes reality I think.
