Moller’s car was ready years ago, it’s the FAA that’s held it up, don’t think it will ever come to fruition.Somebody let Moller know ... I swear he's just about ready to release the competition ...

As a pilot myself, I've kept a close eye on his progress and prototypes - nobody would love to see the idea come to fruition more than I.
However, I'd disagree that he ever reached a point I'd call 'ready' ... despite the claimed advances with his new engines, I think he is still looking at a fundamental deficit on power to weight.

Agree , I have not followed his progress that closely and there have been other successes of late from other designers but the fundamental issue is how are they going to manage the traffic. Apparently NASA is working on some sort of solution but I wouldn’t be alive by the time it becomes reality I think. Just like pilotless planes.... who would fly on one if there was no pilot? You and me both, mate ...
There are some promising Experimental aircraft with folding wings like the Terrafugia - but that's another avenue that has proved difficult for pioneers in that technology. Hope they can make it work.
Moller has always pursued VTOL - which I'd love to see, but it's a tough row to hoe for consumer affordability. The military has proven it viable, but the care and feeding of a Rolls Pegasus in the family hauler may strain the grocery budget ...
