Hey there! I finally got into a Stinger GT, coming from a series of dad cars ending with a Sorrento before going with something fun & sporty. I was originally going to go with a WRX but after research and plenty of drooling I stayed with Kia and having a blast in my GT.

Looking forward to checking out all the boards picking up all the information I can regarding this beast I'm riding around in. I don't have many plans other than debadging (hopefully soon) and continuing to read up on what the real deal is with those "subs" behind my seats...

Welcome and Congrats on your Stinger!

Debadging the Stinger will take some planning. The front Kia badge covers three holes in the bumper. The rear Kia badger covers two holes in the hatch.

The GT badge does not have any surprises.

Most users will rebadge using KDM parts. The owner of the forum sells the KDM market badges as do the other vendors

Thanks for the info, MicroBlue. I did take a look at the site store, which is where I'll be getting the badges from. I did a bit of research regarding the front and back badges, and I've heard of a fish line and heat gun method. Is there a preferred way of doing this? I plan on leaving the 'Stinger' and 'GT' badges for now and just removing the 'KIA' ones.

Greetings, I got my Micro Blue Stinger just over a week ago and I'm loving it.
I came from a Legacy GT and was also looking at the WRX as an alternative. It was nowhere near as comfortable or as refined as the stinger. Though, it was never really meant to be...

I'm pretty sure that you'll be pleased with your decision.

I think that is the most popular method. There is a video on YouTube showing the badge removal. I would make sure you have plastic tools they use in the video. The paint is soft, so take your time and really work on cutting through the adhesive.

Kia didn’t skimp on using th 3M tape on either badge.

Why debadge? Kia made an awesome car, and I for one am proud to wear its badges. Let the badge-snobs fume! Your car, do as you will. Me, I love it! ;)

Welcome to the forum. Congrats on your stinger. Hmmmm, dad cars? This is the ultimate dad car. Well, actually it's a mother car. Or that's what I have been told when I drive the stinger, hey, you are one bad mother in that car!! Hahahahahaha

Dad car or mom car, it’s a great car

Great choice in color and welcome to the forum! I own the GT2 AWD same color. Check out my profile page a look at the badges I installed. Bought them on the site. I used dental floss to remove mine. It takes some patience but well worth it.

Those are really slick lookin'! And now I can see how my car would look like once tinted.
