Maybe it has something to do with it being q press car? Thanks for posting. He presents a lot of very subjective opinions on things like perceived 'cheesiness', design elements and material choices, why KIA made certain manufacturing decisions, etc. I have differing opinions on many of them, but it was an interesting view.
I'm not sure why they cut in clips like tearing off the rear cargo cover and tossing it in seeming disgust - what was that all about? And I was surprised to hear his complaints about rattles and noises, as my car has been very quiet, almost vault like - even over rough surfaces. But again, always good to see a different viewpoint ...![]()
I agree with your point on the suspension. I wonder if Kia can roll a software update to increase the performance of the shocks. Chevy did something similar to the Corvettes. I’d be willing to pay for a new tune, if it wasn’t a crazy price.I would agree that the suspension is absolutely on the soft side. Took my first canyon run a few days ago, and quickly learned to temper my expectations. It dives and rolls too easily. Now that wasn't what the car was meant for, but still it was the first time the car made me feel uneasy.
Now i'm also coming from a Golf R which is an absolute amazing canyon carving machine so i'm coming from that level of experience. I just wish the variable suspension they put in the stinger would have a greater difference between comfort and sport. To me right now it feels like at most it is 10% difference, when really it should be somewhere in the neighborhood of 30%.
Yes he was a bit savage when he did that! Thanks for posting. Lots of these reviewers nit pick but you have to realise if you had all the stuff they hate the car would cost a hell of a lot more. You can’t please everyone all of the time. He's more objective then most .
from seeing his old videos I get a feeling he hates messing with trunk, hatch compartments, I've seen him be pretty hard on auto hatches that close to slow lmao, I dont think it's a personal kia jab thoYes he was a bit savage when he did that!
He had a press car, he’s not a bad reviewer. I watched a few of this other videos and he’s not afraid to point things out. The only thing I find with his reviews there based on track and performance, nothing to do with everyday use, he doesn’t show the back seats in most of his videos.
