What did you pay for your Kia Stinger?

No worries. Good to have the information! That's what this forum is for. As you can see, there is a contradiction between your post and what DSpec1 posted. It is just a matter of trying to get a great deal so more people can enjoy this fantastic vehicle!
I'm more than happy to assist anyone who are interested in a Stinger or any vehicle. We do have a referral program hahaha let me know if anyone is interested in taking the vehicle out for a drive.

Leased a Stinger GT2 AWD for $560 a month with taxes and fees included $1060 at signing
gotta look back at my paperwork for the math they did on the selling price but 36 months 12k miles a year (NJ Sales Tax)

First of all, no disrespect to @DSpec1, but remember that you gathered this information from a post on the internet. This thread is a great place to get a general idea what people are paying in both the US and Canada, and I appreciate @DSpec1 posting his information as well as all the others - but as with anything on the internet individual posts may not be completely accurate, or inclusive of all relevant factors.

For example, when I was shopping for a car I had an opportunity to buy a 'new' car from an out of town Alberta dealer for what seemed like a great price, but after inquiring further I found it was their demo and had considerable KMs on it, and I'm sure some enthusiastic test drives. In this case, it was also used by one of the dealer principals as a personal car for a period of time, and one of the in car options was broken - though of course would be fixed before sale. It came with a number of 'no cost' accessories thrown in as part of the deal, as that was how they had the car equipped for winter demo rides. It was in a color I was initially favoring, but in my case I wanted a new car (as in just off the transporter) so passed on the opportunity to purchase it.

In your case, I would think you had other issues to contend with being from Winnipeg - I don't think an Alberta dealer could sell you a car with GST only unless you were an Alberta resident, or I think we'd have a lot more business here than we do ... :p

Sounds like @DSpec1 got a good deal on his car, and last I heard he sounded happy with it - so good for him and hope he has many years of enjoyment. I'd just be cautious about leading your own sales negotiations with 'I read this on the internet' ... :)

I had a dealer in Central NJ Match (They asked me not to tell people where I got my deal) a price I got from Allentown KIA in PA after having them beat route 23 (Which they did by 500 on selling price).

Selling Price was around 46500 before the 7000 lease cash and the additional 500 I put down

This forum was helpful in knowing where to start negotiating.

Edit: Wanted to clarify this isn't a quote its what i actually paid

Yea internet is a good place to get a ball park target then work a bunch of dealers in your area against each other ... think one factor I had in my favor is the car was on the dealer lot at least 3 months if not more ... and id contacted the same dealer almost a month before

Thanks for sharing your example. I agree with your assessment.

The posted deal was so incredibly good that I had to follow up. If nothing else, this should save another forum user some time and effort. I fully understand that "things read on the internet" might not always be 100% accurate, and deep down, I would have been shocked if it was that easy to get such a good deal. Now, at least we know there were some inaccuracies posted with regards to that deal.

I might be mistaken, but my understanding is that Alberta dealers are free to sell to out-of-province buyers with just GST since the buyer would have to pay the PST in their home province when they get the vehicle registered. One way or another, there is no tax loophole there or else, yea, AB would sell way more cars :-)

I think how accurate they are (both posts) are known only to the two parties involved ... :p

Quite possible - you'd have a better idea than I on that. I have heard of people trying to find a way to buy a car here and avoid PST/HST, but I don't think that's a viable route. Sounds like you've done your homework, though - hope you find what you are looking for, and good luck on your purchase ... it's a great car!

Yup, I'm not concerned with who is inaccurate. Only that the posted deal is not achievable, at least based on my experience today.

And regarding the tax, no way to avoid paying PST/HST. So if anyone is trying to buy from AB for that reason, then they will be disappointed. One shouldn't be trying to avoid paying the PST/HST anyway, but that's a whole different topic! Thanks for your good wishes!

I paid $42,889 OTD for a GT1 RWD Black Exterior, it was about $39,xxx + taxes and fees. Paid down payment and financed it through Kia at 3.9% APR.

Hope this helps. Buy a one way ticket to MN and go to Luthur Kia in Bloomington. I'm half serious if you really want a Stinger. Ask for TJ, he was cool. There are a ton of Stinger GTs avail in the area, but they all have 18s w drivewise. It's the damn snow.

Lease and buyout is the BEST deal by far. You can pay it off as soon as your info is live on Kia's site. Took 7 days for mine.

Simple calculation to get your price.

MSRP of the one you find...

-5000 dealer discount from MSRP
AND
-5900 Kia lease cash (GT1)
Or
-7000 Kia lease cash (GT2)

Add a $650 aquisition fee
Add a $100 doc fee
Add tax based on price so far
Add +/- $175 for first month rental fee
Add license, title, and registration

Done. Thats what you'll pay to lease and buyout after 1 lease payment, when it's said and done. Docs will look more confusing, but that's the math.

Good luck!

if you're buying a stinger and thinking about spending the $$, be sure to get the drivewise package with w/e trim you settle on.
Yes, these will be harder to find, but it's worth it. if you don't opt for the tech package, you are doing yourself a disservice.

Simple things, like blindspot monitoring (included in my old '09 car), are not included unless you get this option. You also get things like lane keep assist, and radar based cruise control...which are all extremely cool features that give you what's essentially comparable to [Tesla] "Autopilot". Don't cheap out on the $2K option, especially if you plan to own the car for a handful of years.

Also may pay for itself in lower insurance premiums.

In a few weeks, I'll be taking delivery of my Ghost Grey - Stinger Limited.

Thanks to all those that chimed in, and especially @Timmle! I got very close to what you got with the "all-in" pricing. Mine ended up

$50,125 + tax = $56,140 CAD

No extras, just a tank full of fuel!

Bought a GT2 AWD in Oklahoma City for $46000. Apparently the dealer gets a kick back from KIA Finance, so I was "forced" to finance, then immediately paid it off. This incurred an additional interest fee of $150, so there is my total cost. Micro Blue with gray interior.

$49,780 + $2,490 GST = $52,270 Out the door GT Limited - South Trail Kia in Calgary

If you don't mind can you share the details of the lease please. I am in denver too.

Did you ever get a Stinger in Colorado? If so, PEAK KIA is the place to go. I can't PM you as the messaging is down.

@Thang, I went to them and tried to negotiate but the sales guy wasn't willing to give me the lease discount. He was only going to give me some $3000 discount on the lease with $684/month. So had to decline.
