cant really spell the sound but it’s loud warning like five in a row kinda like a ricochet. I can’t tell, what I’m doing to cause them or what I’m doing to stop them, they seem to be not working for a few days and then back again to the phew phew phew.

An audio recording would 100% help out, here. When does it happen? Anything displayed on the screen? Any lights come up?

Park brake left on?

Hmmm....this will be interesting. Let's see how many warning sounds there are in a GT2. Seat belt, backup hazard, parking assist, parking brake is electric so should release when in gear automatically....

Nothing on the screen or between the gauges?? Can we assume it's a chime of some kind coming from the sound system? Or is it a sound coming from under the hood? Radio on or off?

Nothing on the screen or gauges. It’s when I first get In the car and start up. Sometimes it could be the parking break but I don’t use it often. It’s stopped happening now so I’ll have to figure out what starts is up. It’s driving my daughter crazy. I’ll try an record it, it annoying as could be

Radio is on, each sound is couple seconds long like a cats meow.there might be two warnings sounds there might be 5 strung together . Highpitched descending note, not a chime or beep

Manual says to have parking brake on when leaving car in Park. But that warning should show up on the dash, I think (haven't tried it.)

Turn radio off when leaving the car. Maybe a signal multi-path distortion at your parking location? See if you get the sound with the radio off.

If you park close to a something it may be the parking sensor. Even if you put the car in reverse it will beep to show there are objects in front of you.

Is it cold where you live? If it is cold outside there is a chime for possible icy road condition.

sounds like proximity warning for parking

@Kamauxx has a point. The parking sensors do alert before you back away. Turn that Parking sensor off (center Console with "P") and see if it quits. Still....a strange sound as described. Mine is more of a chime I think (wife has the car -- again -- so I can't check it quickly.)

I'm with bryan, when it's 39 or below F outside, it will give you a notification that it's cold out (in case you didn't know). The wifes 2016 Sorento does this too. I believe you can turn that off in the menu somewhere.

He's in Arizona. He probably doesn't see many days <40 degrees, especially in April.

That "ice warning" chime is only one "ding."

The sound you describe is similar to one that my 2011 Optima would make when I had the emergency brake on and put the car into drive.

Put on safety belt on all used seats - than start up the Engine...

Try using the parking brake for the next 2 or so days in a row to narrow it down to ya or nay
