Hey guys. Figured I would ask the question since I have both a JB4 and the LAP3 chips for my 3.3. I’ve seen videos of dual chipped cars in Korea but haven’t seen much discussion if any on here. I,ve installed the new HKS plugs and gapped to eliminate the spark blow out. I’m running the JB4 now on map 2 without issues so far. What do you think would happen if I hooked up the LAP3 piggybacked to the JB4 ?

This is a total guess, but I'm thinking something bad.

There's only way to find out...heh.

I was thinking the same thing! Good thing I guess is that the chips are untraceable so if it cooks something I still have warranty......

Not sure that's entirely true. I've read here on the forum that they can and will check the ECU logs for any anomalies. They might not know you have a tune but they'll see something is off.

It might show a malfunction in a sensor but that would be all. There isn’t any ECU tampering running the chips. Was hoping one of our tuning guys would chime in.

that would be my guess also. but if the guys in south korea are doing it and not breaking anything then it may be worth considering.

I’m going to get some good data logging done for Terry before I try stacking the two chips just Incase I break or blow something up. Lol.....

I would think that's unnecessary with a jb4. Should be able to make custom map for higher target body. Maybe you can use something like the jb4 Electronic Watergate harness to directly control wastegates for higher target boost? Would be worth talking to TERRY at BMS to see his thoughts.

Else I would wait for full tuning to be available which is around the corner. Ecu and TCU tuning is unlocked already. Should be some great things happening soon. I'd wait with what you have
