Kia is looking at making the Yellow a production run color

Definitely the combination of all those things available in a territory where they aren't otherwise available and therefore "limited" are what make it the Atlantica. What I'm wondering is does it have anything that someone in Germany couldn't just walk into a showroom and buy without it being considered limited. Anyone in Korea/Australia/Europe able to chime in on those features' availability?

I don't think European Stingers come with the "Stinger" script on the back do they? That and possibly the leather color.

And the Korean versions don't have the Euro wheels?

I'm sure we'll find out soon.

*edit: The Atlantica also has suede headliner, which wasn't mentioned in that other article.

LIMITED PRODUCTION 2019 STINGER GT “ATLANTICA” BRINGS UNIQUE FEATURES TO KIA’S FASTBACK SPORT SEDAN

My understanding is it's the combination of interior/exterior colors, wheels, badges, and tech that make it "The Atlantica".

I believe the "Atlantica" badges are the only truly unique feature. Everything else is available somewhere other than the US. The blue is a standard optional paint in Europe and all of the tech is standard here as well. The brown interior is available I think in Oz and the wheels are what you can get as an option for the "GT-line" versions in Europe.

You cannot get the nice Stinger script in Europe, but the alcantara headliner is standard in the GT.

I understand the peices are all available somewhere in the world. What Kia has done with the Atlantica is made them all available TOGETHER on a single model. The individual feautures don't make it rare, the combination does.

Regarding the headliner I do not have suede headliner in my car and I haven't seen it or heard about it being available in any other Stinger.

In 50 years when someone is looking for the rarest 2019 MY Stinger it will be the VIN of the Atlantica that they seek out.

The rarest 2018 Stinger is that one Australian guy here who pre-ordered his in yellow with a red interior before they disallowed that color combination. Who was that guy? Get him a special avatar.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
other than the VIN and the Atlantica badge (which may be available aftermarket somewhere) i dont see this being a truly limited edition. I believe @xot1 has exactly this combo minus the Atlantica badges.

The suede headliner is standard everywhere except the US...which really sucks as i feel that alone brings the car to the next level of refinement. This and the SVM are desirable in my opinion.

For a truly limited edition, i think they would need some sort of package that is NOT available in other markets. For example, paint color that is truely unique, upgraded parts, different engine, and so forth. Kia right now is calling this a limited edition based only on what they have decide to offer to the US market.

Total BS to call my Yellow GT2 (without SVM, Heated Rear Seats, Suedheadliner, etc) as "limited" when one can get this color PLUS options as standard in another market. Perhaps mine is limited since it DOESNT have the extras...so pay more for less

Anyways, if KIA want to keep pushing special editions out to each market to increase sales, so be it. I think its a shady strategy to hold back features, but provide them elsewhere, and then include said features as a premium or limited basis.

I actually looked at purchase of a Canadian Model (fully loaded with ALL features plus cheaper) to import but could not find a warranty to support it and i live too far from border to make service trips worth it.

Does he have whatever the "European 19" wheels"?

I didn't know about the suede headliner in other markets. Figures...

Nah, he has the same 19"s we do. Also has a black interior it looks like.

Yeah you may be right...there is another dude here that has a signature with the deep blue chroma exterior and brown interior...cant seem to find it now. xot1 looks to have a red interior...

I just told you in my previous post that the alcantara (what you call suede) is standard in Europe. I also said the wheels are an option for all other models in Europe bar GT which comes with the same as in US.

I am not interested in fighting. I just noticed you said you ”didn’t know” about the headliner until another, apparently more trustworthy person said so too...
