I also thought that would be an issue from all the reviews mentioning about the limited view but surprisingly I don't feel restricted at all. Also I feel like I wasn't really depending on the blind spot monitoring much. The mirrors do just fine.

I agree that the view out through the rearview mirror is pretty narrow. However, when you are the fastest car on the road, you really don't need to be concerned with anyone behind you - as long as they don't have flashing red lights.

Hahaha thats exactly one of the scenarios that concerns me!
I am so used to scanning the highway behind me for police cars when I drive, and in this car, I cant see too far behind me...that force of habit is what got me thinking when I was test driving.

What bothers me about using the cruise control (tempomat, thanks @voon ) is when others don't use it on long stretches of road and they pass you, then you pass them, ad nauseum. I usually, sooner or later, get irritated enough to increase my speed for about 5mph for a mile or two then settle back down to the cruise control speed.

I mean, the cruise control is IN the car, why don't they USE it???

Amen, brother. I call them "yo-yo's" and maybe they don't know how to set the speed on the tempomat. On the other hand (not condoning or excusing them) I can get slightly better gas mileage if I don't use the cruise especially on uneven roads with hills.

I ended up getting small blind spot mirrors that I placed on my side mirrors. Helps with the blind spots a lot and with the 360 camera it helps when parking.

I thought the view out the back was going to be a problem but after driving it for a couple months there is no problem with the view out the back. With all the safety features this is the safest car i have ever driven. No worries

Indeed, those Yoyos are superannoying. Or when an actual tempomat user actually bypasses a long truck with 1 km/h speed more.... I do check if I got someone behind me if I am one of those first. The worst however are those, that accelerate while you bypass them.

I think speeding up is an almost sub-conscious reaction for many drivers who are not on tempomat control. When I get around someone if there is some huge truck grille in my rear view mirror, I like to hammer it and get clear of them. But nothing I hate more than getting stuck behind two big semi's driving side by side for 10 miles trying to pass one another and having some idiot UV driver filling my rear view mirror as if they get close enough, the truck I'm stuck behind will somehow speed up.

I posted the first photo on the Forum of the limited rear view, so I was surprised at how quickly I ceased to notice it once I had the car. After 3 months driving it, the only thing that continues to bother me is when I'm stopped at a light and a RAM-type truck pulls up close and fills my entire rear window with grill. Very intimidating.

If you will angle your rear view mirror upwards so you can no longer see the rear headrests, it improves the overall angle of the mirror and you can see a bit further back.

Yeah @Kamuaxx, I risk a ticket on those idiots and blow them off the road after a tap on the brakes to slow them down.

Full disclosure, I took that pic in a parking lot. But when I got in the car and saw that grille in my mirror I instantly thought of this thread.

In defense of some in the 'Yo Yo' community who aren't holding their speed consistently, there are still a large number of vehicles out there without a 'tempostat' ...

As for the rear visibility, I've had vehicles with little or no rear visibility at all - so pretty much depend on the side mirrors. I don't tend to use the rear view mirror much.

I don't understand. Why would the size of the rear window affect the distance behind you can see?
