Hey everyone,

I’m considering deleting both the primary and secondary catalytic converters on my 2023 Stinger but keeping the rest of the exhaust stock.
  • Has anyone here done this setup?
  • Will it make a noticeable difference in performance or sound?
  • If you have a video clip or sound sample, I’d really appreciate if you could share it.

Thanks in advance!

IF you go that far, cause taking out the primaries requires dropping the engine . . .

I would just go full 2.5" or more out to the back. And, upgrade all of your pipes too. Also, you will need to get a tune to stop the CEL's from the CATs missing.

I went catless for my primaries and I didn't have to drop my engine lol. The studs tho can definitely be a PITA tho

I’m interested in this as well. I’m looking at the BYLT Industries primary and secondary. I know the flow will increase but was looking for the sound difference with factory mufflers.

Gotta drop the fk'n engine??
I'm calling bullshit on that statement....

This is the third time I have replaced my primaries on my garage floor...at home... in 4hr's!

Looks like I was wrong there. I could be thinking about the Alternator.

I'll have to look into dropping the primaries as that was a worry of mine.

Those were the only tools you needed? That . . is a lot of extensions lol. :-) Did you have to go from under the car back to front?

Finally got around to tuning my car with these hi flow dump pipes, secondary cats in place and this controversial tork breather mod...

I can happily confirm my car has been transformed, especially in the torque delivery and my tailpipes are light grey instead of black and wet like previously.

Off to the track for some roll racing and some 1/8th mile stuff next weekend, so i will post results regardless of what they are 😉

Peace ✌️

that engine is so clean, i'm jealous.

Don't be mate it's a labour of love... and see that stupid heat wrap?

Constant fibres are blowing over everything, making me rinse it off at least once a month.

If I ever upgrade the turbo's they will not be going back on with out state of the art heat containment.

It's not cheap but there has to be a better way to get rid of the heat?
I have vents in my bonnet and a couple of engine bay rubbers removed as well as the TB coolant delete AND my dump pipes have been heat coated and yet it's still stupidly hot under there...

I just wish we could program the thermostat to open up closer to 80 degrees than 103!!
