I've always taken "E30" as a guideline, ie roughly 1/3 "E85" to get your octane in the 95-96 range, plus some extra cooling & oxygen.I test the ethanol content and mix it for e30
You still have constant, significant corrections across all cylinders (ign2-6). Did you ever try different gas and get a clean Map 0? Or send to BMS to see what they think? Here’s my log on map 2 with 5 gallons of E85. Any thoughts?? Thanks
I would still recommend you run through whatever's in your tank, fill up a new tank of premium from a different station/brand than usual, and don't add anything to it for now.I’ll try the jb4 tech forum again. I had a few corrections in map 0 prior to adding the E85 but nothing major. I’ll try the diff gas, thanks Appreciate it.
Pure ethanol is something like 110 octane, with E85 around 105 octane (lower if it's actually "E80" etc).If I used E85 after having good logs in map 0 can a person then also use octane booster with E85 to get to E30?
I have a similar question, can a 4oz can of boostane added to a tank of premium be used in lieu of E30?Interesting stuff, I’ve also put 5 gallons of E85 into 91 octane. Is it possible to just bump up the octane with some Boostane??
I believe the regular / original Boostane needs a quart (32oz) to treat 16 gallons, but those 4oz shots are concentrated and cover the same amount.can a 4oz can of boostane added to a tank of premium be used in lieu of E30?
