Yep well. My philosophy is if its not broken dont fix it.

With no way to roll back to the previous version and with a possible visit to the dealer to get anything fixed if the update stuffs up, Im happy with it.

My car still defaults back to Comfort, Comfort, Comfort, after I select it to Comfort, Comfort, Sport, after two or three weeks it has suddenly defaulted again. Dont know why. Havent touched it but I feel any "fix" will be worse than the problem......I just set it again.

Happy with the Sound format, and would be pretty annoyed if that changed with an update

...and they say it is a NAV update.........

I'm still on an update installed in 2022. Sounds like the take away is to stay on it.

I made the leap. So far so good. It took about 4 hours because I had to dust off an ancient lap top with an SD card reader that took forever to download the update and back up the SD card. I like the look of the new UI, especially for the radio.
Can you post some pictures of radio, navi and drive mode part. Thank you in advance

Updated. So far haven't noticed anything different. Still lamenting the loss of the nixie tube radio display. I want to figure out which middle management eunuch decided to get rid of the nixie tube display, lock them in a chemical toilet over a holiday weekend, and pump in panpipe music so they can contemplate their sins.

^^Nearly every update?
I updated mine , in Canada, before they pulled it...(Again)...

All is working well presently, so weird that this seems to be the norm for mapnsoft.

I always wonder what they messed up, that would justify pulling the software or even pausing it.

@DJ, the first release is a public beta. Then the 2nd release [hopefully] resolves bugs encountered.

I run my own self hosted email server. Updates come out regularly. I will typically wait at least a month before applying any updates. There's nightly backups and backups before applying update. So far I think I've had to roll back once. Been self hosting since summer 2023.

Just joining the 'update' party. I have a 2019 GT. Downloaded the recent update on an USB, plugged it in the car - says the version is already the same, reinstall? Hell, no!
Read earlier in the thread that there should be some SD card somewhere. KIA Download instructions say to use SD Card, install instructions for my gen5 nav says to use USB (of course)... Just searched the manual for the car - nothing about 'card'/'sd card' - so no idea where to look for it, even if I have it. Here is what's currently installed:

Standard-class gen5 navigation
updated 10.6.2022
model CKBS.SSALN.EU
software version - CK_19MY.EUR.SOP.013.6.220519.STD_M

Any suggestions? :)

Do you have the nav system? If so the sd card is below the 4 way flashers button. If not it is by usb.
The new update shows the date of update now in the software tab.
This update doesnt include any updates to the system only the maps for nav so maybe that is why it is saying it is the same.

Thanks, just did the update. Had to start the car, then insert the SD Card and it auto-requested update. It was done in about 10 mins. I like the map perspective much more.

Can you put a picture of the map perspective?

Does anyone still have the original software (MY18 - 21) ? I'm trying to troubleshoot. So, that alert you get (when toggled) when you drive over 100 mph? The previous owner had this turned on. But with the latest software, I can't seem to find a way to toggle it off anywhere in the settings. If anyone still has their original version, would greatly appreciate it if they could upload it, and I can get that copy? Thanks in advance!

Good luck with this! First off, I have never even heard of an "over 100 MPH alert". This can't be an OEM feature of the NAV system. Someone put that in, that's my guess. I could see the EU insisting on such a feature, with Germany "abstaining", ha hah. But I've got two of these cars, and until last year the '19 had the original NAV software, with all the nannies available on the Stinger. I never saw such a thing as you describe.

Another thing, I have never read on here of anyone selecting a file or files from a previous NAV version to cobble into the already installed NAV software. I don't think that anyone on here is that good of a computer geek. I throw that out as a challenge to any passersby. Ha hah.

It's OEM, unless there's regional variations in the US (doubt it). I recall my previous Stinger (2019 GT1 then, 2018 GT2 now), having this setting when I was in the Driver Assistance portion. I didn't toggle it on then. With this one, Im going to assume it was toggled on, and later upgraded to the latest software. But I no longer see that feature in the settings.

I guess if anyone is willing to take a pic of the Drivers Assistance portion for me, I'm curious how it appears for you or anyone else?

The upgrade is permanent....there is no ability to downgrade as far as I know.
The update wont happen unless it detects its a newer version.

Crap. There's a factory reset option, but I'm going to assume that doesn'tt apply to the SD software. Well, it's worth a shot. Thanks guys!
