Hello,
I have a 2023 KIA Stinger GT2 AWD displaying front collision warning and automatic emergency braking, while flashing light all over the dashboard (see attached images). Presently it's at a KIA dealership but they have no clue as to what is going on.
Any and every help in solving this issue will be highly appreciated.
Thanks Much,
Dj

Welcome. Just letting you know that this topic has been moved out of the community lounge and into the main Kia Stinger talk forum.

Heh, I only had a balky starting issue on our Premium, where no response to the push button and a stiff brake pedal were somehow related, and eventually each of the three times this occurred the car would start. But you don't live with that crap and I took it in. This brief tale is to inform you that if my simple electronic/computer modules issue required that KIA Corp send a technician to resolve it, that is what you are looking at. Almost nobody at dealerships has the first clue about how to diagnose these interrelated electronic/computer fubar things, which is why they bring in KIA techs from further up the corporate chain.

Well...it says check forward safety system so....check the forward safety system.
Kia dealer should have tech manuals they can access. As a warranty issue they can take photos and DTCs and send them to Kia Corporate who can send it to Korea if they have to. Someone will know... The factory pays for and approves warranty.

To say they don't know is a bit premature. It's all isolatable. They can look at different electrical systems.

My first question would be.

Has it been crashed either by you or before you got it?

Have you done any modifications at all?

Has water got into any of the sensors?

I have had warnings from the front sensors after a wash.......

Forward collision and emergency braking is the same senor located beside the front camera as is the adaptive cruise, I would say its the sensor in some way, possible connector issue. Im sure the code they scan has a TSB so the mechanic will know what to do.....unless they are idiots which is extremely likely.
I purchased a dianostic tool for this exact reason...I dont want morons working on my car.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Thanks for your response, appreciate it.
- no crash was reported on the Carfax (I have a copy) when I bought it and I haven't been in a crash.
- the only things I've done is install K&N air filters and a MBRP pro exhaust.
- despite the warning lights, all sensors are still working like normal. I also hand wash it myself but I can ask for that to be checked too

Thanks for your response and I agree, think the mechanics are kinda inefficient.
Can you please post a link to a diagnostic tool and maybe that will help.
Thanks

I bought the XTOOL anyscan a30m, works excellent. Interfaces through Tablet or phone, lifetime free database updates.

Hello,
As a follow up to my earlier post about the issues with my 2023 KIA Sringer GT2 AWD, and after 8 months at the dealership, replacing the front camera and front radar system, it was discovered that the issue was the wiring harness in the driver's seat, which was replaced and solved the issues. Thanks to everyone's suggestion, appreciate it.
