I looked up this part and it said gear and linkage assembly. It looks like it’s leaking my oil. Not very much though. Is it normal? Is that able to leak? If it’s not that what could it be? Would it be covered under warranty?

In your first picture, you are showing the oil filter housing, completely saturated in oil.

In your second picture, you are showing your rack mounted power steering motor, underneath the oil filter, with some oil on it.

Your specific oil leak, may or may not be covered under warranty, it may be as simple as whoever did the oil change last failed to correctly install the o-ring on the oil filter cap.

The part number on the power steering motor is: J557700420

Thank you! I’m due for an oil change so I will mention that when I go

Your oil filter housing is leaking. Not an uncommon problem on stinger. Already replaced mine.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Plastic oil filter housing mounted directly above the steering motor is definalty not optimal.

it's the oil filter housing/oil cooler.

pretty simple process to replace. had to do mine a while ago.

The fact that this could be something simple like the o-ring or cap not being fully seated, vs. a cracked housing or connection, means it might be obvious to someone doing the change, or it might need a thorough cleaning and followup check in a couple days, couple weeks, etc to see if/where it returns.

Depending on the shop, they might spend a few extra minutes investigating or they might just offer to swap the housing, cooler, etc. without clear evidence of the problem. I'd lean toward a careful oil change and watching for it to leak again, if there's no obvious source.
