You don't really have much individual cylinder timing correction, but your log is a ton of quick WOT bursts in between low/closed throttle. It also shows Map 2. Find somewhere you can slow down to say 20-25mph and floor it up to 70-80 or whatever you can safely hit.
You want to pull through at least a couple gears so we can see timing advance, trims, and fuel pressure through the rev range -- just let the auto log kick in (I think 70 or 80% throttle triggers it) instead of manual logging where you'll have a ton of off-throttle filler.

Ok. What does that do? I’m just trying to learn all this stuff. I’m pretty new to it all1. go for the latest firmware.
2. change the default wastegate position from 100 to 50![]()
Ok thank you! What does the waste gate do? How does it affect things with it being at 100 rather than 01. it's always good to have the latest firmware,
2. it sets the default wastegate position, don't play with that without knowing how to read logs. Set it even for default 0 and check if everything is ok. Then, you can increase it step by step.
3. check your fuel wire connections. The last safety was due to fuel trim variance.
The wastegate itself is a port that bypasses the exhaust turbine when you don't need all the exhaust spooling it faster (because you're at max boost, or are cruising out of boost). Wastegate duty cycle is how far closed the valve is, so 100 would force all exhaust through the turbine and 0 would bypass as much as possible.Ok thank you! What does the waste gate do? So would you interpret the default 0 setting as completely open? For many settings it means off/disabled, but I don't know if the car's OEM default is fully open, free to move, or some intermediate position. Any idea? A shame the JB4 doesn't have a wastegate position monitor.I saw a post by Terry, he said we can play with "default wastegate position" to make our car "faster" in response
That log only has a few rows of 100% throttle, and I have no idea what's going on with your cylinder-level timing corrections (14, 22, 37, etc). I do see that your FF is 60, and you have a bunch of Map 6 values...is that what you were trying to run and you're saying it switched down to Map 4? Because I wasn't aware the JB4 would do that, just switch to Map 0 (stock) if you exceed the hard boost limit (I think default value is 23psi or so).It still switched down to map 4 when I switched the waste gate to 50. Here’s the log
I’m sorry. I meant it switched down to map 0. I’m not sure about the map 6 stuff cause it was never on that map. I would suggest removing any WG offset values, leaving DWP at 0, setting FF to 50, and clearing out those map 6 adjustments. Then run a clean log on Map 2, Map 3, and Map 4. Meaning, find a road where you can slow down to around 20-25mph, put your foot to the floor, and stay WOT until 70-80mph (or whatever you can reasonably do).
Yes I use the latest firmware. And I will make a better log sometime soon hopefully. It snowed where I live so all the roads are either wet or snowy.Do you use the latest firmware? Change the setting to show cyl 2-6 as timing corrections. Make a proper log.
I made this log this morning. Sorry for the long wait. It’s been snowy and I’ve also had my car in the shop for the last weekDo you use the latest firmware? Change the setting to show cyl 2-6 as timing corrections. Make a proper log.
I don't see obvious timing/knock corrections, but there are a few things going on here, and I'm still an amateur but here are some initial observations:I made this log this morning. Sorry for the long wait. It’s been snowy and I’ve also had my car in the shop for the last week
