If that was my car... wouldn't want to let the front wheel hub just free fall off the strut base like that... Yikes! It would bounce off either the wheel speed sensor line or the brake hose.
That's the difference between me working on my own car, and somebody that does it on the clock for profit. I do take my time gently lowering that wheel hub with a third floor jack, instead of stomping on the brake rotor till the whole assembly drops with a thud, and DGAF.
That wheel hub and brake rotor/caliper assembly weighs a ton and will yank on your brake hose and wheel sensor cable HARD.
Here's a real shadetree tech tip... before reassembling the strut, brush plenty of anti-seize on the mating parts. Then next time you have to take it apart again, it'll come loose nice and easy. No need for that 1/4" extension twist trick.
Also, anti-seize on the coilover threaded body where the locking rings/collars engage.
