I was driving at normal speed on clear roads and heard a loud pop noise...the sound similar to a balloon popping and it sounded like it was within the cabin. I pulled over and did not notice anything. Tires, windows, etc. are all intact. I will continue to monitor but very strange. Has anyone experienced this?

Have a sunroof? If so you might want to check it. There's a few people who've reported the sunroof randomly shattering and makes a loud bang/pop noise.

Yes, I have a sunroof. I just went to inspect the sunroof and looks like everything is good. I am going to look at my dashcam and see if there was anything that caused it from the outside. Very very strange.

If almost never happens that such a noise originates inside the cabin. It resonates there from some outside source. You will probably discover an "owie" on the body somewhere, or possibly even on one of your mirrors, from something heavy enough flipping up and hitting you. Check under your rocker panels, for instance, as you try and track this down. I have a gouge in the lower edge of my passenger rocker panel, that's years ago. I remember almost seeing something before I evidently ran over it, and whatever it was made a terrifically loud impact or "pop" noise and when I checked it out, I found the gouge. Touched it up and stopped seeing it after a while - it's fortunately hardly visible from eye level and not that big either, maybe 3/4" long.

Great tip. I will sure to look underneath when I get home from work. I went through my inside cabin, opened the hatch, nothing. Appreciate the thought and will get my flashlight to inspect/assess. Cheers!

Post the clip, this is intriguing.

UPDATE: I did a complete inspection on my Stinger and did not find anything abnormal. I went to my dashcam to see if, maybe, I drove over something or to see what the noise came from. After playing the video multiple times.....I realized what it was! Granted, my dashcam audio was no where close to resembling the loud noise I heard. Anyhow, here is a short clip.

Looks like it was a rock. Thankfully no chips or cracks. Good song BTW!

Yup. Took me a few times to play back the video and found my answer. I made the video shorter to spare everyone from hearing me belt out this classic tune! Cheers!

I can't believe that didn't even leave a mark in the glass. Have you checked up higher to see if maybe the glass between the windshield and sunroof took the hit? Obviously the approaching traffic flipped that object at you.

That video actually did an excellent job capturing that pebble smack in the windshield...

Perfect beautiful sky in the background. Picturesque moment.

It sucks that there's quite literally nothing you can do to avoid such things

Reminds me of this road hazard I ran over September 2022... Virtually invisible.

^^Such shrapnel resulted in 2 new tires in a previous car, sliced the tire nicely.

That's almost a dead ringer to my rocker panel nick, from the same kind of shrapnel. I described it in a post above.

Crazy, I know. Very lucky there is nothing in the windshield. Thank God. I was imagining if that rock hit the Stinger body...I would think it would have a dent or knick. Playing the video in ow.motion, that was a good size rock.

Wow! Amazing how road debris can really @#$#$ someone's car. If it wasn't for your dashcam, I am sure you would be obsessed in figuring out what the hell happened. It sucks there is not a damn thing you can do.
