Kia stinger door trim pieces

the free replacement is for discoloration within 36,000 miles or 36 months. it is covered under the same warranty as paint. outside of that time frame it's your cost. of course, purchasing an extended paint and trim warranty is different.
Did you have to purchase a special paint warranty?

I also had the same issue and got them all replaced under warranty.

Does anyone know the solution to keep them clean? I’m considering getting a ceramic coat on the car here soon now that I got the new ones, but for the time being?

It’s crazy how discolored they get. Mine is a 2020. CEE010A1-CBA7-4B8D-8DD0-EB61FE04D2CA.webp

After reading some of the responses I bought Flitz (polish), and that stuff works amazing, I applied it with a microfiber towel and rubbed it maybe four times and the oxidation went away! I will probably apply a ceramic coating to prevent it from fading again but I will use Flitz to keep cleaning the trim as necessary.

I did mine 8 months ago, and they still look great, even after multiple washes.

Thats the thing. I washed mine and it took so long but I used really good product and spent so much time cleaning mine. Now they dont even get dirty anymore. Scrub, scrub, scrub and keep scrubbing it will come off looking better then it did from the factory.

I have a 22 scorpion edition and I had all of mine replaced under warranty and it's been about 6 months and I'm starting to have issues with the ones by the hatch already. Every time I had them replaced, I was having 2 done at a time. I want to paint them gloss black, but I'm worried about the ones by the hatch. They have the rubber trim attached to them and I don't want to have any type of tape lines. I know they make the wrap for them, but I feel like that would need to be replaced every few years. Any thoughts?

Damn you have issues on a 2022 already? I had mine replaced after hail damage last year around this time. So they've been for about a year and are perfect so far.

Replied to another thread on this. I used an iron remover on my car after a good wash. After using it I noticed that my trim cleaned up nicely without any scrubbing.

Had mine wrapped in black vinyl by a local shop here. Subtle change that looks so much nicer then the stock chrome pieces

So my new trim didn't last long. If your car sits outside at all it's probably gonna have issues. My passenger side trim is completely fine. The sun beams on the drivers side most of the day when my car is outside. Neighbors cut down 2 large trees. Literally the only shade my yard sees until late in the evening. Need to pull it off and just paint it black.

That does look cruddy. Time to try the Flitz? Don't be gentle with this chrome, it can take any amount of rubbing. The dark finish will not stay as dark, but it polishes up. When I see spots on it, usually from dried on water, I hit it with a "ribbed" microfiber for cleaning glass, and my spray bottle for the same, and stiff buffing nearly always takes the spots out.
