Wireless Android Auto from Motorola

Interesting. I don't see it on Amazon USA either. Looks like several knockoff options are now available, maybe they got run out of the marketplace by the undercutting prices of the competition.

The MA1 is down to $49 shipped, which frankly is a great option at the price. I still have my MA1 in the closet for when/if the AAWireless dies. Inside car temps here in the summer ensure an eventual death.

I use mind everyday. To think I paid almost twice that for my first one. And I still regard it as being worth every penny of that.

They're on sale on their main website. I saw an article saying they're working on AAWireless2 hardware now.

I don't have the Motorola model, but have both of the other two and just wanted to share my experiences with them since this thread has good compare info.

My wife has (or more correctly had) an AA adapter in her santa fe, and I have a carsifi adapter.

Pros/Cons:
+ Carsifi adapter - has a button to toggle between phones, very nice feature if you want the passenger's phone to connect on a long road trip.
+ Carsifi adapter - much more stable. AA adapter would fully disconnect if you lost cell signal for a moment while Carsifi does not (music may cut out, but not a full disconnect). On top of that, my wife's AA adapter will now randomly disconnect so frequently it is just not worth even using, thus my wife just disconnected it.
+ AA adapter - both cars USB port is constant battery on, which means the adapter is always on and will thus randomly connect to your phone (thus kicking you off your home wifi). Both have a feature to only connect you to wireless android auto only when the phone is connected to the car's Bluetooth (thus avoiding the wifi switch problem). The difference is that this feature in AA actually works ... while the one in the carsifi adapter does not!

To combat the above problem with the carsifi adapter I had made a custom USB Y cable with the data usb pins going to the radio and the power/ground going to a cig-lighter adapter. Unfortunately this was not entirely stable and would often reboot during "spirited" driving.
I made 3 different iterations of my Y cable, and tried 4 different cig-lighter adapters and the problem persisted (some adapters made it far worse).
Today I took more drastic measures. I cut the power pin from the circuit board inside the USB plug, and wired 2 wires to a relay connected to 12v-ignition inside the center console.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

That is the only feature I wish the Motorola MA1 would have. On our last road trip, I handed my phone over to my kids to pick out songs they wanted to play, and ever since Amazon Music has changed the playlist algorithm to play my kids' type of music. It is rather annoying. That could've been avoided if I could easily change MA1 connection to a different phone. It is doable but the process is rather convoluted.
