Hi all, sorry if this has been covered...I searched a bit but didn't find anything. Have only had my 19 GT2 for a few days now, but one thing I noticed pretty quick was that the memory seat wasn't working right. I'd set everything and then set the memory, but then the next time I'd get in, the seat and steering wheel weren't where I set them, so I'd have to manually set them again. When I shut the car off, the seat and wheel would move, but then the next time I'd get in, they wouldn't go back to the last position, and even pressing the memory buttons wouldn't work. So I tried shutting off the "easy seat/wheel access" settings so they wouldn't move, and now the presets seem to work fine. Haven't tried the seat reset procedure yet, but was wondering if others have run into this? Don't really need the steering wheel to move up, but the seat moving back a bit is kind of nice.

Storing positions into memory
using the buttons on the door
Storing driver’s seat positions
1. Press the Parking button whilst the
ENGINE START/STOP button is ON.
2. Adjust the driver’s seat and outside
rearview mirror and Head up display
comfortable for the driver.
3. Press SET button on the control panel.
The system will beep once.
4. Press one of the memory buttons (1 or
2) within 5 seconds after pressing the
SET button. The system will beep
twice when memory has been suc-
cessfully stored.

I know how to set the memory seats. What I'm saying is that when the easy seat/wheel functions are enabled, the seat and wheel move out of the way to make it easier to get out, but then they go to some other position when I next get in, and the memory buttons don't work (when pressing them it will say something like "memory 1/2 settings are applied", but they're clearly not). But when those functions are disabled, then the memory buttons seem to work fine. Will try the seat reset when I get a chance and see what happens.

It sounds like you are not setting the memory for some reason and it is always going to a previously set setting.

Maybe you are pressing button 1,2 then set rather than set then 1,2?

I have a MY 23 Stinger GT since new. Occasionally, very occasionally if I have gotten into the car then out, the seat hasn't restored to the memory set position by getting back in. I haven't worked out (or cared) why that is. I have simply pushed the start button or opened and closed a door and the whole system works properly.

Maybe it's a delay getting in or not closing the door for 3 days or simply stuffing around prior to starting.

Best thing to do is get in sit down shut up and hang on the same way every time.....

If you do things in an orderly manner everything seems to work.

If all else fails google the manual........

How many know that the car doesn't have to be on in order to select driver position? I do this every time I get in my wife's Stinger to drive, I push driver position "1", and the seat and mirrors move to my settings, hers are driver position "2" on both cars. Then I start the car.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
When setting up the memory seats, it is important that the parking brake is on. Otherwise, the setting will not take. Also, I believe the parking brake must be on when pressing either of the memory seat buttons. If the parking brake is not on, the seats will not move.

Haven't tried the reset yet, but another piece to the puzzle. Previously, I set #1 for myself, and then for #2 I moved the seat further forward and raised it higher to simulate my wife's setting. All day long I can switch between 1 and 2 with no issues. But if I move the seat back too far (not sure where the exact line is), and try either 1 or 2, it will only come forward a bit and then stop (if I hit #2 it will still raise up). It's like there's a dead spot that it won't go past, but it thinks it did it right, as hitting the button again will cause the display to say "settings already applied". So definitely seems to be an issue in the forward/back control system. If so, not sure the reset would fix it, but still plan to try it.

Finally got a chance to try the seat reset, and that seemed to do the trick. Re-enabled the easy seat access and all is well.
