Alright so I know variations of the same issue has happened, and I'm going to bring it to a shop as soon as I can, but I was just trying to get other people's experiences.

I put in the high flow cats in a little under a year ago, I have a jb4 all the fuel wires, the ewg wires. I added the defoulers. Never had an issue.

Today while idling at a red light, the check engine light came on. I checked the codes with the jb4, and it says P0420 and p0430. It just seems weird that I've not had a single issue for a year, and now both sides are having an issue? I'm not sure if I'm missing anything, or if anyone has any advice. Thanks

Funny enough, I just installed my UP HFC combo last week and got P0430 and P2098. Since mine is on the same side so I'm thinking a leak personally. But yours being both cats/O2 sensors, I'm curious especially since it has been a year. I would just double check for leaks and making sure the O2 sensors and wiring are fine. Or you could always log what's going on and send to Terry. I haven't done that yet but people clearly regard him highly.

So, weird thing happened. I cleared the codes. The very next day I got just a single 0430. Cleared it, but ordered a new o2 sensor to see if changing it would help

Waited for it to come in the mail. Over the course of 4-5 days... No code, nothing

Maybe it needed a few days to learn?
But did you have any misfiring or high ignition rates? Mine is having Ign1 rates of around 45-50 on smooth acceleration

To learn what?

And honestly I never checked ignition timings

Hmm feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but you know how if your CEL comes on and if you disconnect the battery to reset the ECU, it can "relearn" the car. To my knowledge it is quite limited, but I've seen/read driving around can allow the car to "fix" itself

I mean I've disconnected the battery since I changed the pipes. I've had the downpipe without a CEL light for almost a year

How do you guys solve the P0420-430 CEl when you go catless downpipes?

I’m dealing with the same thing I have catless secondaries from dc Motorsports and maybe 2 days after install I threw 0420 I said wth I’ve heard u can drive with it but u will fly threw gas I’ve been reading and been told a de fouler can help and dis connect the battery and re connect it and it should help it’s funny no sensors on the secondaries to make it throw it but primaries do it’s unfortunate any luck on ur end and I have a 3.3 gt1 2019 rwd and scratching my head in south fl trying to fix this

Yeah I have the defoulers, but it still happens. Honestly sometimes it happens twice in a week and sometimes it won't happen for months. So it's really not a big deal for me to keep clearing the codes

Did you ever use a different scan tool ? Try deleting it from that other than using the jb4 ? I’ve came upon this issue when I scan and clear codes with a different obs scanning tool, they would come back. Just a clear code from the jb4 fixes it. On the other hand if I use map 0 I get the codes. Sometimes you need a better tool to remove the code
