Nothing like pulling over while on I95 to figure out what is dragging under my car! Ends up the bottom engine cover!

I did notice it was drooping a few weeks ago, I think when the dealer took off my front bumper to replace the bad headlight they did not reattach it properly. I thought I fixed it, guess not!

Took it in this morning and luckily it wasn't damaged enough to be replaced. It's just made of particle board material. So they got it on the lift and reattached it. Hopefully correct this time!

nice. Now let them do the recall work. What more can go wrong.

did you happen to notice if your panel was above or below the attachment points? unless the person reinstalling the cover is a complete airhead it should be impossible to put the cover on wrong. but there are apparently a hefty number of airheads employed by kia dealerships. judging by the number of times this gets reported on the forum.

Any pics?

Would love to see how they installed it incorrectly, as it's kind of self-explanatory.

Not sure. It was drooping down below the bottom front bumper lip. Clearly the panels pins were not in place. When I fixed it the first time I tucked it back inside that bottom lip. I thought the pins were engaged properly. Apparently not...

No pics, I was on the interstate when it dropped down. Not sure if the retaining pins failed or they just did not engage them properly. Or they just forgot to engage the pins.
