Mando ECS10 Not Working

I have had the Mando unit installed early on from when they became available and found it really makes a difference.. Recently it has stopped working in that I can't activate the Module Status Setting.

The App is working okay and the mando unit connects. I can change the automatic connection no problem but the Module Status Setting refuses to activate. The error message "It is not possible to inquire vehicle information" comes up. Settings can be changed on the app but then an error comes up saying the Apply Failed. I have uninstalled the app on my phone and reinstalled and have tried on another phone but no luck. I have also disconnected the mando unit from power to see if it resets but no luck.

Has anyone had the problem and found a solution?

Assuming Apple… Perhaps related to iOS 14.5?

I haven’t attempted to connect since before the update.

I'm using Android 11. I have tried with another phone with an older version with the same result.

Is your’s wired to constant or switched power?

If constant, might want to pull the fuse a bit to let it power down. Essentially rebooting.

wow that sucks. I am running andriod 11 now with the update and will go see how mine is. Are you running the beta version? my mando app logo went away and its just an android now.

Nope everything is still fine. Connects automatically like it used to and module is on. Lol I'm connected to "stringer"

I was wondering if the MANDO ECS10 comes with the posi-tap to get power to the box or If i have to have them on hand. If so, what gauge?

Taps NOT included. You can use any style/brand to power the ECS10.

The wire gauge for the ECS10 connector is, something like 22 AWG.

The current draw of the ECS10 is under 500mA.

Do u know of anyway I can buy the wiring kit only? My module will not activate even after connecting via Bluetooth. The Mando app keeps crashing every time I try to activate the box. Please help!

Did it ever work, and recently stopped working?

To clarify, is this correct?
You can connect your phone to the ECS10 by bluetooth, but when you turn "Module status setting" to on - the app crashes?

No it’s never worked since I installed it.
And yes, it’s connected via Bluetooth but not activated. ‍‍

So at least we know 1 of the 2 harnesses is working (the 2 pin power connector) +

The other 3 pin T connector, if you are suspecting that, you could perhaps test for continuity between the 3 connectors. It's a very simple harness.

If yours is defective, it would be the ¹st one I've ever heard of.

Mine did not come with any tea harness included. I bought it used off of a Kia Stinger owner on marketplace. Do you know of any way that I could purchase the wiring for the device and see if it changes what is happening?

What wiring do you have?

How is it installed? (Needs 5 wires)
