Water/Fluid Sloshing Noise

I had/have the same issue. Took it to the dealership several times. Of course they said they didn't hear it, but I personally think the system needs to be burped. Does the car smell like antifreeze? Mine did, still does but it's less and less noise if it's full. Antifreeze kept getting low all the time. But ever since my 3 Rd time taking it back I haven't heard the noise but still have the smell but not as bad as when the coolest/antifreeze was super low. How many miles do you have?

Same thing is happening to mine right now. Just had it in to the dealer. Said they couldn't reproduce it, but the coolant was extremely low. They pressure tested it and couldn't find a leak, so they topped it up. Pulling away from the dealer it made the water sloshing noise again. Drove 12 miles home, after letting it cool down the coolant is half an inch below the low mark. There are no visible leaks I can find. It doesn't smell like coolant. There has never been anything leaking onto the garage floor. It doesn't appear to be smoking while driving. I have a decent video of the water sloshing sound, but it won't let me post it

Did they road the test car before releasing? If you heard the noise pulling away from the dealer, why not turn around and come right back to point out their wonderful workmanship?

I didn't turn back to the dealer because i picked it up exactly at close, and had to go deal with my kids. I'm calling them about it first thing this morning. I just changed the permissions on the video link, so hopefully it works now.

That is the coolant level this morning before starting it up, so it dropped about an inch overnight sitting in the garage. Still no puddle under the car.

Here is a better video. It is me pulling out of my driveway after starting it up from sitting overnight. I also looked over the street thoroughly where I took that video and there is no coolant on the road either, so it has to be leaking inside the car somewhere. It's very odd that it doesn't smell like coolant at all either.

Sounds like you have air in the system. Have it bleed properly, and you'll be fine. Is your heater blowing hot, when the car is at idle?

The dealer said they bled it when it was in there yesterday. In january when it was -10 here in minnesota it was blowing -10 degree air at idle, wouldn't heat. As soon as I started driving it would blow heat again. I brought it in, dealer said they couldn't replicate it. Seems like they say that every time I bring the car in

Heater blowing cold or just warm during idle is a sure sign of the air in system. Try different dealership or you can do it yourself. Just takes time without KDS tool.

Omg. Probably leaking internally??! They can't even bleed it! I could see this kind of bs from some kid working at lube stop. Take your car out of there. It's so sad, kia put so much effort in making cars, but completely forgot about dealership network.

"They said", and they don't. I have experienced this, but with the sway bars being greased. "They said" they did it. They didn't. I don't think that this is a KIA thing, it's how many shops operate, which is to say, they do as little as possible and charge as much as possible.

There's a reason why any time I do have to bring mine to the dealership, I bring it to the only dealership near me that actually has a huge window where you can watch your car being worked on. Can't count how many times I've brought a car to a shop and they claimed to do certain work but actually didn't. It's also why I try to do as much of my own work as I can.

Well, at this point I don't really care. If they replace the entire engine, whenever it's done. The car is gone. I've listened to far too much of their BS. I'll get a S5 and deal with the increased maintenance costs. To give you guys some idea of how easy I am on the car. The original tires lasted until 48,000 miles. The engine, 52,000 miles.

Same exact problem here. This car is a pos. Overheated twice last year with blown off radiator hose. Took it in for turbo inlet recall, and the noise is worse now.

I took mine for the recall and it happened again. The sloshing noise. I took it right back that following Monday and told them they need to burp it. They did and it's all good so far.
