GT2 camera switch in GT1

I just watched a YouTube video that’s five months old. The guy installed a factory GT2 all around view camera switch into the GT one center console and it gave him the ability to look at his rearview camera while and drive. Has anyone else seen this or done this?

I did this in my 2018. It works. However, in the 2018's you can view the camera at any time, at any speed. When we tried it in my buddies 2019, you could only view the camera at low speed.
