Hey all! I am a new owner of a 2022 Stinger GT-Line. Any 2.5 owners in the forums?? Does the '22 GT-Line have launch control? Does GT-Line 2.5t require premium gas? Thoughts?

I have both a 2.5 and 3.3. I've been toying around with the 2.5 a bit in the last 6 months. If you plan on a JB, 91 and Map1 is good. If you have 93, running Map2 is fine. I've run Map3 and Map4 with 93-E30 and the car absolutely loves it. If you want to just daily it, I recommend nothing less than 89.
The 2.5 does have launch control, but it's as anemic as the 3.3, don't get your hopes up. Absolutely no boost on launch, and if you have a RWD with any JB map turned on you will spin.
There is a good thread here. Post 80 and 82 I posted some improvements with times and mods I've done so far.
Thanks AWDGT2. Does the 2.5 have a hatch release button inside our car - so it just unlocks? Otherwise, I have to go to the rear and manually open from the outside. Yes, I know 2.5 doesn't have the power lift gate option. Thoughts?
We just added a 2.5 to our fleet. As with any cars/trucks, octane requirement depends on the prevailing vehicle and environmental conditions, as well as how you drive it. If you like to step hard on the loud pedal in 98F Summer heat, going up hill, with a car full of cargo/passenger, then for sure get the highest AKI pump gas you can find in your area. OTOH, if you are just taking it easy and hwy cruising all by yourself at 60mph in nice cool/cold weather, then regular unleaded works just fine with stock setup.
When I first got the car back in Sept, it was still brutally hot here in TX, so I filled up with mid-grade (89 in my area). Right now, the weather in my area has cooled off nicely, and since I prefer to hypermile for everyday commuting, I pump regular unleaded (87 in my area). That said, if I have an autoX or track even coming up, I would time my fill-up so that I'd have 93 in the tank for the event.
If modified, then follow the recommendation for the aftermarket device you installed.
As for launch control, 2.5T makes good torque but unfortunately does not have an LSD, so the open diff will be the limiting factor. At most all the software can do is to cut power to keep the wheel from breaking loose too badly. I just bought an LSD from a G70 to swap into the 2.5T.

Does the 2.5t AWD come equipped with limited slip differential? I assume no, correct? Owner's manual has it listed to inspect/replace at 65k miles (rear).

All Stinger/G70 rear diffs have the same external housing, so any Stinger/G70 LSD will bolt right on. Shown below, the LSD one on the left is from a G70 6MT, waiting to go into our '23 2.5T RWD.
The "standard" open diff on the right came off of our '19 2.0T, which now runs an LSD (also from a G70 6MT).
All Stinger/G70 LSDs have the same final drive ratio of 3.538:1. GT-Line 2.5T open diff has the exact same ratio. 2.0T open diff final drive is 3.727:1, which is about 5% lower and not that noticeable.
Supposedly, the new '2024 G70 2.5T has Brembos and LSD as standard equipment. Really wish Kia had done that with the Apex Package. Oh well, nothing a bit of ebay shopping and some elbow grease couldn't fix.
I just picked up this 2023 GT-Line a few weeks ago. Definitely no slouch! Mine is the Apex Edition which adds some nice bits like black exhaust tips and fender accents, carbon fiber (not real but looks real) center console and interior door bits and oh yes, Brembo brakes. Being a daily I will probably keep the 18”. Wasn’t crazy about the wheels but they are starting to grow on me!
Photo before I had the windows tinted. Got 20% ceramic tint.
